A while back, I listed a copy of Dungeon Defenders complete collection as a giveaway. Unfortunately, when I sent it to the winner, he said the code didn't work. I couldn't figure out why, and I offered to send him any of my other keys (I've got a list of stuff I plan to give away). We contacted support and they agreed to cancel the listing. I didn't realize that left no record of the winner.

I made a post here about the situation, and someone managed to track down who I THINK was the winner on Steam (it would be nice if there was some form of messaging on this site), and I sent him a message about the situation to see if it's the right person. Unfortunately, I haven't heard back from him; and it's been a couple of weeks now.

Yesterday, I finally figured out what happened. I recorded my excess copy of Dungeon Defenders incorrectly on my list. It wasn't the bundled Key that was the extra copy; it was the GIFT copy I have in my Steam inventory.

So my options are to re-list the game, or to gift it to someone who may or may not be the original winner. Thoughts?

Should I re-list, give, or give it to the might-be winner?

Re-list the game
Gift it to the guy, he might be the right one.

It's up to you really, but if you do want to create a giveaway for the gift copy in your inventory then there's no problem.

Maybe (though it may take some time) ask support to find the guy for you. They may have access to a record or archive that could confirm you are trying to contact the right person. Or maybe you could find some clues in your internet browsing history (if you haven't deleted it in a while) Other than that I guess they contacting the one you think is the winner one more time, specifically state a time limit in which they need to respond, and if you hear nothing, re-list it.
