Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 and 2 GOG saves compatibility question

I want to buy the GOG versions of RCT 1 and 2 because they apparently work on windows 7. Also not needing to use the disc is great. I just wanted to ask though:

Will the save files from my old disc versions still work on the GOG versions? If they do, is there some kind of change I need to make for them to work?

Since The GOG versions have all DLC, if you did not have them before, then it might be a problem. Otherwise i see no problem there.

I have problems using my saves from the original release of age of empires 2 to the ubisoft collection version. I have all the expansion packs on both. This is why I'm asking if the same problem occurs with RCT 1 and 2.
