New games were just added!

  • FTL: Faster Than Light
  • 1... 2... 3... KICK IT! (Drop That Beat Like an Ugly Baby)
  • Strike Suit Infinity
  • Zach Zero
  • Tower Wars

I own FTL, and this is an incentive for me to go back and finally unlock the Slug Ship! :D. What do you guys think?

EDIT: Hehe, people are already jumping on it.

This is the first round of card games where I only have one, namely - FTL, as it happens to be the only one worth the asking price in this whole mess of poor indies. I love how the developers whose games are generally very poorly received by both reviewers and players are the first to push cards out, in the empty hopes that this will somehow make the games sell.

I actually love Dejobaan but Monster Loves You is a big disappointment, and 1.2.3. Kick It is like a poor man's AAaaaaaA For the Awesome.

Are trading cards in the Dota2 beta?

Only if you spent money in the Steam Store before the trading cards were enabled.

I believe you have to spend money ingame to get cards for Dota 2. What you said is not true either way though

My understanding is that DOTA 2 is similar to TF2, whereby if you spent cash in the DOTA2 shop prior to the beta you got a standard drop of half the set.

For any money spent in-store after the trading cards were introduced a card would be dropped for every $20 [?] spent. Perhaps I didn't explain it very well, or perhaps I have it completely wrong :)

You have it completely wrong. You get card drops in TF2 and Dota 2 for every 9$ you spend. As for TF2, you get the whole set for free if you bought the game before it became free2play.

Now YOU have it completely wrong too! You don't get the whole set of TF2 cards free at all. If you owned it before it became F2P, you only receive half the cards (although obviously some of these may be duplicates), just like any other game. The remainder you will have to either trade for, gain through additional drops relating to TF2 store spending, or purchase on the community market.

Thanks for the reply. That makes sense, I bought TF2 before F2P and I can drop half, but didn't buy anything in Dota and it doesn't appear under my badges :)
