So, after thinking about this FOREVER, I finally found my top 15 favorite games of all time. I would appreciate your opinions on the list, and hear your favorites (Although I know that it's impossible for most. I mean, it took me forever to put this together.) The console next to the name is the first console it was released on. So, without further adieu, here it is:

  • 15: Pokémon Gold (GBC)
  • 14: Bit.Trip Void (WiiWare)
  • 13: Tetris (GB)
  • 12: Doom II (PC)
  • 11: Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time (DS)
  • 10: Ikaruga (GCN)
  • 9: Final Fantasy IV (SNES)
  • 8: To The Moon (PC)
  • 7: Okamiden (DS)
  • 6: Castle Crashers (XBLA)
  • 5: Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)
  • 4: The Binding of Isaac: Wrath of the Lamb (PC)
  • 3: Mother 2/Earthbound (SNES)
  • 2: FTL: Faster Than Light (PC)
  • 1: Super Hexagon (PC)

There ya go! Honorable Mentions go to Sonic 2 (Sega Genesis), Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Colonel (GBA), Counter-Strike (PC), and Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)

EDIT: One thing you have to realize is that I am only 13. I have only played about 250~400 different video games in my life. So there is no way I could have played every single game you guys mention. Granted, I have played quite a bit of games, but I'm not the person who's played everything. Also, my age could be a factor in my taste in gaming. Not sure how, but it could be.

As much as I love Metroid Prime, it's a game that I find kinda hard to finish. It requires so much god damn back tracking through areas that keep getting increasingly difficult, and once you expand your map to such a size, it can be annoying when you are miles away from a hint once it is presented.

You do have to keep track, know the shortcuts and remember tricks. You can run by most enemies in the latter stages of the game.

The atmosphere the game creates is just so perfect.

You have a unique taste. I love FTL myself, one of my recommended games (and I hardly recommend games).

Saw gameplay of Super Hexagon because it was your first - it gave me a headache after 20 secs.

Tell me, do you like strategy games?

Well it took a lot of deliberation, but here are my top 15, in order.

  1. TES: Morrowind (PC/ XB)
  2. Fragile Allegiance (PC)
  3. Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction (PC) recorded 1534 hours AFTER I started using Xfire in 2006 for a few years
  4. Heroes of might and Magic 2 (PC) with The Price of Loyalty expansion
  5. The Dig (PC)
  6. X3: Terran Conflict (PC) yay no need for a joystick anymore!
  7. TES II: Daggerfall (PC)
  8. Roller Coaster Tycoon (PC) + corkscrew Follies
  9. Dragon Age Origins (PC)
  10. Terraria (PC)
  11. Theme Hospital (PC)
  12. Dungeon Siege (PC) Dat intro music awwww yeah
  13. Age of Empires (PC) + Rise of Rome expansion
  14. Majesty (PC) + Northern Expansion
  15. Zeus master of Olympus (PC) with the Poseidon Expansion.

Huh, I'm kinda surprised I came out with no console games whatsoever aside from Morrowind (which I played on both PC and Xbox)...

Some honorable Mentions (had to be cut at the last moment to fulfil your dastardly 15 limit XD)

and now I'm spent, too much typing and searching!!

Sweet, Ive never actually seen anyone else who has played it. That game was, and still is, amazingly fun to play.
I would love to see a HD-3D remake of it, or at least something pretty similar.

Unfortunately I have been waiting almost a decade :(

Our tastes in games differ greatly, but it is probably more of an generational thing. Looking at the games I can tell you didn't grow up when I did. The only two games that I strongly agree with are Isaac and FTL.

-edit

And then I read more and see you are 13... lol, it shows in the games.

  • Addicting as hell
  • Come to beat the full game
  • Stay for beating personal records, addicting as hell, massive replay value, beating OTHER records

Everyone who has it either has no time logged (Raged immediately and never touched it again) or 7 billion hours logged (Pushed through and found out the masterpiece it is)

Hmm. I'll probably get it on android sometime. Stuff like that I'm more likely to play on my phone.

Also: To the Moon. I want that game 'cause it looks cool, but what makes it stand out so much? A lot of people seem to love it.

Morrowind has a greater activation energy than Oblivion in regards to immersion, but when you cross over the peak it drops to much lower energy requirement than Oblivion ;D

More games that i highly regard as well would be Kings Bounty The Legend, Metro 2033, Red Faction Armaggedon, and probably some more that i will regret having forgotten.

Yes, all games not published by big names for an x86 processor running Windows are complete and utter garbage, and can have absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky is SOOOO much better than the originals. Much more overworld stuff to do, sidequests are better, an actual plot (Which is really good. It has a plot-chaning twist, even. :p, more Pokemon, and more interaction with NPCs. And in Sky, there's a side-mission where you play as Bidoof, an NPC in all 3. Time is my favorite because it was the first of the three that I owned. I prefer Time over Darkness, and am on the final dungeon in Sky but haven't beaten it yet because I'm underleveled.

TL;DR- Yes.

Ehh, why not. Haven't done this listing in like, years, so here goes nothing:

  • 15) Hudson's Adventure Island 2 (and I shit you not, I HATE putting on those N-goggles, and the people doing that. This game is awesome without that shit)
  • 14) Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 - Yuri's Revenge
  • 13) Super Meat Boy
  • 12) Anachronox
  • 11) Hitman: Blood Money
  • 10) KOTOR
  • 9) Hitman: Contracts
  • 8) Silent Hill 2
  • 7) System Shock 2
  • 6) Silent Hill
  • 5) Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast
  • 4) Half Life
  • 3) KOTOR II
  • 2) Shadow Of The Colossus
  • 1) Thief Gold (yes, only the Gold edition. Those extra maps help it a lot for me)

Wow, my taste changed a lot recently. Last year by this time, I would still call KOTOR my favourite. Silly me.
