I like cats too, though not as much as dogs. Had four dogs in my life. When I was very little, so I had to use a ladder to climb a rug in our living room, we had a St. Bernard.
Then father picked up some dog that bit me(I was 5... probably, can't remember, that was a quarter of century ago). So dad killed it in a fit of rage. Not nice...
After that we had another stray picked up by my father. Sweetest dog we ever had. It hated strangers viciously, and loved us all. When my father died, it just left the house, after few months. Gone away, and never came back. He was attached to my dad the most.
Finally I had a pointer. He was very smart, for a dog! :D Loved thunderstorms(not afraid of thunder at all, was rather barking at it, than cowering in fear). And got poisoned almost two years ago. On purpose. No idea who would have done that...

Damn, this is hard... On one level there is the question what I prefer in real life, then there is the question which games seem more interesting, and then there is the question which has the better odds... And the meta question of which of those factors I actually want to even think about cause I usually don't like gaming the system too much...
Okay, I don't wanna go with "this answer would give me better odds" and there are interesting games in both groups, so I'll just go with my first instinct with is cats, mainly because I'm not that into animals and cats more self reliant so that would work better with me not caring that much ;)
