Archer - cartoon; office of spies that often f** each other (in both usages of the word)
Burn Notice - a spy story in Miami, a little corny at first, but it's worth sticking with
Community - group of slightly "off" friends with genuinely funny and original show scripts
Death Note - anime; a notebook that kills people... like chess, the characters have to constantly think ahead of their adversaries
Firefly - brilliant cast, sci-fi with a western feel, mostly safe to watch with kids/parents, despite the "whore"
Game of Thrones - medieval fantasy that's mostly not* safe to watch with kids/parents
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia - crude humour, usually good but there's some misses
Justified - modern day lawman in a cowboy hat versus Kentucky rednecks with drug businesses and religion
Stargate SG-1 - sci-fi with portals instead of spaceships (feels 80s-ish, but it's good), Richard Dean Anderson is awesome

(of your list though, I've only watched all of Dexter and a decent amount of Who's Line... never liked 24)
