Read the books. You get so much more out of them than the movies.

I guess in some ways, it's better that you've watched the movies first, as you'll appreciate the books even more. Most people who read original source material and then go through the adaptation often find themselves disappointed that certain bits are left out.

I read the books, watched the movies.
I particularly like the last two books (= three movies), the first ones were ok, in my opinion.
Thanks for the chance on this game.

I didn't start reading the books until after all them had been released and I'd seen all the movies up to that point. I then started buying the books one by one as I could find them at my fav thrift store (only getting ones that were in decent condition and not super worn or torn up or writen on or whatever), since I didn't have money to spare for books at full price. I enjoy both the movies and the books, and do not really compare the two because it is literally like comparing apples and oranges. Each has things about them that I enjoy. I have a few other HP books, like physical copy the Beetle the Bard book by Rowling and a couple info books that delve into the magic and influences of the series; have Harry Potter for Dummies on my Kindle, since it is a nice little quick read for brushing up on things may have forgotten. I need to get the other books by Rowling and interested in getting the book for the play she's done. I've enjoyed the series/world. My daughter started reading the books a few yrs ago and got side tracked but recently, she's suddenly gotten reinterested. She has her own set. Hers are all nice and coordinated newish set (gift from the grandparents one xmas). I own all the movies. The first 5 are on dvd and rest are on bluray. I've played a demo of the first HP lego game on my PS3 and enjoyed it. Both have been on my list of games to eventually get for PS3 or pc.

So, while I was researching for my MD thesis (I won't bore you but it was basically about history and freedom of religious beliefs concerning witches), I came accross an unbelievable amount of religious anti-Harry Potter sites. You'd be amazed by the sheer number of those, and how many people take the Harry Potter world, in my opinion, way too seriously.
I must say, I am always happy to listen to a religious debate and would never dare to put my own views or religious beliefs above anyone else's, nor do I find myself competent to comment on religious matters, but I must say- the whole thing just rubbed me the wrong way. I might be wrong and maybe I am looking at it all at a too low level, but I just can't understand why people would look at those books and see such a threat to their own beliefs and/or well-being of their children/culture/...
I found those books to be, like The Hobbit or the Lord of the rings, a wonderful world of fantasy, friendship and bravery.
Thank you for a lovely giveaway <3
