Roger that and does the same apply for users that are begging in a giveaway thread?

Sure.
By the way, is there a bug with "TransOcean: The Shipping Company" ? It looks like it's retroactively added to bundle list before it got bundled. This is the first time in 3 years that I lost CV.

not really it's there for another reason. for example I make a GA for XYZ but ni description I say "the giveaway is for XYZ free Beta that will run during next weekend" or "it's a guest pass that will allow you to play the game for 5 hours" or "I cannot make GA for XY for whatever reason, so I make ga or XYZ instead, but winner will receive XY"

the actual problem I believe is lack of "sticky" options in forums ;) There are quite a few importnat topics like this with important PSAs related to the site, but a lot of people will never see them as after initial flood of comments (or no flood klike in case of this particular thread) they quickly get burried. And even if someone were to bump them every week or two - they will drop again in a matter of hours at most, because not a new topic, so most of people won't be posting in it.

can be problematic then ;p Nowadays we get at least 1 free promo (gleam or other) per day, and some days we even have like 6-7 different free promos ;p most of them are repeats, but still - you'd have to keep track of all games already removed from Ga list to notice every new one. It would actually requiring you to check few times a day every day and bump at least few times a week ;p And like I said - there are at lesast 10-15 other topics like that with important information buried in forums ;p

it would be enough just to give mods ability to post in Announcments category, but then again - 99% of people wouldn't even visit it to check it out. Most of people (me included) don't visit discussions by categories. We just click Discussions button at the top of the page which takes us to page with all discussions categorized chronically from latest post. So even if mod announcement was on top of announcments or some other mod-post-only category on main Discussions page it would still be buried pages below top :>

That idea actually sounds pretty good. The danger, of course, is having ten or fifteen stickies that sit at the top all the time..... P

Question: am I blind, or there is actually no rule against giving games from gleam-or-other promos?
Only thing I found is "Beta keys, guest passes, coupons, and free games should not be given away" but AFAIK all gleam-games are paid games, so what people break is interpretation of rule saying "game is free if it was in big promo" - but again, that is only known by people visiting forums, nowhere FAQ or Guidelines say it.
So, what I wanted to say, do Guidelines/FAQ require a little fix?

That's why we always hear the funny excuse "But Woodle Tree Adventures no free. Is 3 $ on Steam."
But it's not interpretation, I would rather call it deduction from how things are handled.
But you are correct. They should probably change it to "Games that have been available for free..." but I guess then those people would find another semantic explanation to justify what they are doing.

Well, when it comes to those free games, the main problem is first hour(s) of promo, when SG still has them on Create-A-Giveaway list - editing/adding "games given away in big, free promos" would make that justification obsolete.
Semantics - I hate when people use them to walk around the real problem (so many discussions about pirating or DRM goes to gutter because one side starts saying "pirating is not theft, it's copyright infringement and now I don't care about anything else what you wrote. I have fingers in my ears").

Yea I hate that too. I recently had a real funny discussion with somebody who had "I'll greatly appreciate the Trade feedback" in the description of all of his GAs and then claimed he's not asking for anything. Funny enough the same basketcase also ended up giving the wrong game to the winner because the game specified in the GA was region restricted.

Would for sure cause tickets about "why I get no CV" and would probably cause heavy load on servers, with thousands of free copies being given away.
It's not like there are no forums to give those keys away - most people who create those "free-GAs" do it for CV, thinking they'll be able to cheat the system.

Mine is already full and I am too lazy to sort the whole thing out, more spaces on it would be a nice thing to have.

Send an "Other" ticket letting staff know there's a free game giveaway. We will remove the game and manually delete all the recent giveaways for it. Sending individual user reports just wastes everyone's time and clogs the support queue.
