What do girls like as gifts, besides me ofc. Also something that that wouldn't cost me a fortune and takes under an 2 hours to get, I'm kind of in a hurry..

Background: She's 17, a close friend whom I haven't seen in quite some time, charismatic, likes Jazz, sympathetic, playful, over-flirtatious, and never forgets a bad gift(Bioshock seemed like such a good idea at the time)!

Thanks for all the advise, in the end I just went with my gut.

Cooking mama if she has a wii and likes casual games.
If you wanna go more personal that is only something you would know and have to put effort into.

Just read the "never forgets a bad gift"
There are no bad gifts if the thought was to make her happy.
If she doesn't appreciate a gift just because its something she doesn't like, why waste time and money on it.

...Cooking Mama?

Really?

Really?

Besides, if she's into casual games and has a Wii, I'd recommend Endless Ocean. It DOES have dolphins in it, but it's not a pink rainbow sparkle hallucination that escaped from a Lisa Frank design document. It's a diving sim with beautiful graphics (for the Wii) and a lot of neat exploration around a fictional south pacific coral reef complex.

I wouldn't get her jewelry, chocolates, or flowers unless you like her as more than a friend and want her to know that. Maybe get her a set of scented soaps/lotions or candles if she likes that kinda stuff, or an iTunes gift card if that's how she buys her jazz music.

I guess neither one of you read the part about how she's 17 and a close friend.

That's why I suggested a dickey.
A joke suited for a 17year old kid.

HAHA it was a joke and lets be serious 17 isn't an age where kids don't already experiment with this kind of stuff. Plus she is over-flirtatous sounds liek the perfect gift to me lol. unless the OP is like 21 years old -_-

I think I'd go with chocolates if she like them, or something similar. As I understand it, you only knew you're going to meet her when you posted here. In that case she won't expect much and you can give it more thought later (assuming you continue to see her). If on the other hand you just forgot about it until now, well, you're in trouble. :)

Sims 3, all girls love that game...
If you're cheap then go with Fortix.

Seriously, a parfume or a necklace. A bracelet would work too. If you were closer friends you could give here something that she really needs... i gifted once a memory card, for anyone would sound like a nerd geeky dumb idea, but when the person just had theirs broken it was a great gift. You could by her a carpet, I seriously wonder wonder how a person looks like when it gets a 5 square meters long carpet...

I'm not particularly fond of jewelry myself.. Though there are exceptions, it seems like a waste more often than not. Think of all the games you could buy! All those gameplay hours! D:

Gift card to her favorite shopping store. Works sometimes, they like it. Jewelry or something sentimental goo-ey. Like one of those necklaces with each-others names on it.

For games, something puzzle-like (that's what I play with my girlfriend). Something COOP, they like puzzles though: Portal 2/ Trine 2.

Many girls are different, I can't know for sure but that's what I recommend.

You should have gifted her beautiful roses to express her feelings, it would've been cute.
I mean why would you gift her a game? ._.

Roses die in a week or two. Games last forever (or until the DRM servers get turned off).

It really just depends on the girl. I usually ask my boyfriend for video games or books but obviously that isn't what other girls would want. Although that being said books usually aren't a bad choice, you can find something for everyone!
