As far as I recall, coupons never used to work with daily deals.
I checked it by adding a cheap DLC to bring the total price over €8, since Attila is slightly cheaper in the EU.

I don't think they have stopped completely but the profit margin is just way better for 1 premium game than a set of cheaper games.
