I use Firefox for almost everything. I have Chrome installed just in case I need another browser for testing or getting around odd errors. I probably launch it an average of once every two months. But mostly FF woks well, and I love the many available ad ons.

As an interesting aside, my brother has a job at a mortgage bank and he is required to use IE. The reason he was given is that IE is the browser the out-of-date government and municipal websites he regularly accesses were probably designed for.

I was working for a university IT department and we had to use IE for multiple different archaic systems on campus. This resulted in some dissonance, since being the IT department we all loathed using it and ridiculed users who just ran IE all the time who didn't need to use it.

What are win conditions? If most popular, then IE will win because most users don't care to change what comes with their windows package...

And there isn't that much reason to do so anymore. Current IE aren't so bad as they used to be.

IE might be most popular in the general population. On here I'm guessing it's not. PC gaming enthusiasts seem like just the sort of people who would have looked into browser options.

And yeah, IE has gotten a lot better. But I think there are other reasons to prefer the competition--specifically the availability of good ad ons.

I switched from Firefox to Pale Moon after FF started adding more bloat and sending data back to various sources.

I use Chrome almost exclusively. It's easy to keep everything synced across several PCs/devices.
If I need a 2nd browser for whatever reason, I'll briefly use Firefox.

For the longest time it was Opera. On the phone it still is, though it's still not completely back to the level of old Presta-powered Opera. On the computer, Vivaldi.

I really expected the first two places to be in different order.

I use firefox since forever and wouldn't change.

I use mainly FireFox, but I used Chrome for a long time. I'm using Chrome now for YouTube as FireFox's 60hz support is pretty... sub-optimal. So I guess it's a double vote for both FireFox and Chrome.

Opera. It's like Chrome without all the sucking.
Would be Vivaldi if their font resizing algorithm wouldn't be horrendous.

I love Firefox for its options, the addons and the nice keyboard shortcuts.
I stopped using it about a month ago, as it feels so heavy for my system. Every now and then I did a restoration to default settings and reinstalled the 2-3 addons, which worked fine for a while, but not long.
I still keep it to update it and check the new features, though.

Now, I am trying Maxthon. It's fast, but little options and I am trying to compromise with various things that I got used to with Firefox.

I also use Opera for some dirty work and testing purposes.

Vivaldi looks promising, but I am waiting for further info.

I have also good experience from Chrome as a browser, but I have my reasons not to keep it installed into my system :]

You probably should try Pale Moon, Midori, Vivaldi, or Konqueror, (in probably this order).

I remember using Waterfox back when Firefox was only 32 bit and I had incompatibilities with the Extensions (32 and 64 bit I suppose).
I'm going to try it again, as I see many positive reviews now. Thank you.

Which one do you use as a main browser? Opera, as mention above?

PS. I am currently trying Vivaldi and it looks pretty awesome. Maxthon looks like the same. As I see, Vivaldi uses chrome store for extensions, while Maxthon uses it's own store.

Opera. I want to use Vivaldi, but I use my fonts at 200% scale, and whereas Opera manages to magnify only the text and their assorted page elements, Vivaldi is so old-school that it zooms the entire page or nothing. Otherwise, I'd use Vivaldi.

I use Firefox for everything, but have to use Chrome for work.

I like Firefox.
Chrome feels faster.
Firefox feels easier when it comes to addons.
Chrome eats my RAM to death when I have too many tabs open.
Firefox crashes and has issues with some websites.

I prefer Firefox over Chrome, but both seem fine to me. I don't like how Chrome destroys my RAM though, it's a big problem when dealing with multiple tabs. Also, since I've always used Firefox and have all of my bookmarks and addons there, I've never really thought of a good reason to switch browser.

Firefox. I give money to Mozilla sometimes. I love open source products.
I prioritize them so I have never installed closed source browsers like Chrome and Opera.
I would love to test Vivaldi but only when (if) they open source it.
