What about platformers?
Trine 1 / 2 are both around 400 TC (also great for multiplayer)
RPG: Two Worlds 2 is currently in a bundle and thus you can get it for 695 Tremor Coins
if you can spare some more money or want to wait for a sale I recommend looking into Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia games.
If you're not sure what genres she likes you could also ask her to check out some LP videos on Youtube, so she can tell you her opinion on the game(s).

You could try playing a F2P mmorpg with her. Rift would probably be a good choice, it's pretty easy to get into for beginners. :)
A cute single-player, extremely underrated game I'd recommend to a beginner is probably Word Realms, from the same developer of Kingdom of Loathing. But it's not on Tremor Games. :(

I know a person who doesn't game. GHASP!
So, I'm shoving games down her throat! I got her To the Moon from Tremor Games, which she loved, and now I'm going to get her a more interactive game. She would probably like puzzle or RPG games.
So, I need help finding a good Steam game that's good for beginners but still pretty hardcore and cheap on Tremor Games (400 coins or less). Help spread the goodness of gaming!
