who even wants Slaughtering Grounds? it's one of the worst games on steam. by one of the worst game "companies" on steam. just stop making those. and don't try to censor critisism again. you guys did nothing good for the industry so far. start making some actual good games, for a change. look at what good devs do, and try something like that. i am sure it will make you happier in the long run.

Those who want day one garry's incident and uriel's chasm definitely love to collect this one in their library as well.

That's true, sadly. Some people collect everything.
They don't care if it's a steaming pile of shit or even a DigitalHomicide game.

Doesn't necessarily have to be the "collect everything" type (although a lot of DH customers belong to this category).
It can be "buy bad shit, because it's fascinating". For such a reason, I'm seriously considering infecting my poor PC/PS3 with a cancer known as Ride to Hell: Retribution. I'd simply "love" to experience this agony on my own.
But yeah, I'd never touch anything from DH. :p

Yes, that's true, but Ride to Hell has the 'so bad, it's kinda fun' thing going for it, at least. :)
I can somewhat respect that. One of my favourite movies is 'The Room', and certainly not because it's good, by any means.

Yes, but shitty movies like The Room, tend to be a lot more self aware and are quite good for someone, who would just like to sit back and enjoy some ridiculously dumb madness after a long and tiring day imo.

Bad games are a different topic. You don't laugh while playing/watching let's plays of Ride to Hell, because it knows what it is and takes advantage of that, like Sharknado for example. You laugh because you can't wrap your head around, how something this broken and unfinsihed could be released.
People call RtH:R "The Room of games", but honestly I'd like to see something like "The Sharktopus of games"; a game that's "so bad it's good" not because it's so broken that it's unbelievable, but because it knows how to make it's shittyness turn into something at least partially fun, in the style of Syfy/Asylum titles.

Just my Uncrowded. :p

I'm convinced 'The Room' isn't self aware at all, that's one of the main reasons it works so well, in my opinion.
The SyFy/Asylum crew on the other hand know exactly what they're doing :)
They started out with embarassing and terrible ripoffs, but in the last few years they actually put a little more effort in,
and actually made them quite enjoyable (if you're into that stuff, of course).
But yes, we definitely need some 'so bad, it's good' games. I really can't think of many.
So yeah, there's an idea for you, DH. You can still turn everything around.
Stop making 'so bad, it's sad' games! :)

I'm convinced 'The Room' isn't self aware at all

After "The House That Drips Blood on Alex" I'm really not so sure about it. Sure, Tommy didn't direct this piece of art, but the way he behaves (I'm really sorry, but the word "acts" would be to much) suggests that he'd like to do something stupid and fun, but can't really get rid of the cringe.
Seriously, watch it if you haven't. :D

Stop making 'so bad, it's sad' games! :)

I've seen it, and yeah he obviously plays it for comedy in that...piece.
He realised why people enjoy The Room and ran with it.
While I can kinda respect that, it doesn't really work for me.
I was so fascinated by The Room when I watched it for the first time, that I did some research on how it came to be.
I watched some 'making of' & 'behind the scenes' stuff and heard some stories from the film crew and the actors involved.
I also read 'The Disaster Artist' a book written by (Oh hi) Mark actor Greg Sestero about the filming of 'The Room', which I highly recommend btw! So yes, personally I'm sure that this was meant to be a serious drama, which makes it even more hilarious.

Ah, so I guess I got my hopes in humanity too high again. :p Thanks for the recommendations, will try to check them out, if I get the chance.
Plus, I might have forgotten that there was some huge drama around NC, when he did his Room review. Like Tommy taking it down, or something?

Yes, that's correct. He did withdraw the takedown sometime later, probably because he was hassled by NC fans :)
He also was a guest after that in NC's talk show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQ-JgRJDadE
It was a weird one, as you would expect :)

Of course it has cards. No one would even take a glance at it, if it hadn't.
But I don't think it's worth selling one's soul for them.

Since when have getting a free game become selling one's soul? And since when have Steam become one's soul? :)
