I think a funny review is good now and then, as long as it is related to the game and it isn't a shitpost copypasta.(Recipes, Cancer, or WWII stories) Otherwise there would be no point to the "funny" tag.
Edit: I'm just Valve is finally doing something about the shitpost spams.

I don't mean his review, but in general.
The recipes, cancer stories, and other copypasta shitposts are stupid and I wish more of them got this punishment. I mean the people who make something original and funny, while discussing the good/bad of the game.

I meant that I consider his review to fall into the shitpost copypasta category. Changed it up a bit to clarify.

Valve encouraged all the shitpost spam by introducing the funny tag.

That was put there in an attempt to encourage people to actually downvote useless reviews by placating them with something else so they could be like 'well, we still acknowledge that you were trying to be funny'. Unfortunately, the average voter either doesn't have or pretend not to have a sufficient level of understanding this concept and therefore continues to upvote useless reviews, with the 'funny' bonus option being used almost entirely at random.

My theory is that before the 'funny' option existed, Valve believed that people upvoted useless reviews because of cluelessness, thinking that funny would equal useful. Thus, by adding the extra option, they were hoping that people could still vote for the funnyness (is that a word?) but keep it separate from the usefulness vote (thus, combining a downvote with 'funny' if the review was funny, but useless). Of course I can't be sure but this seems a reasonable theory. Unfortunately, no matter what, it's clear that it didn't help either way.
Yes, I guess we can conclude that it obviously wouldn't help against people who deliberately troll. I think they were naively hoping that the majority of the community didn't troll on purpose.

You can't combine them though, your choice is Yes OR No OR Funny not Yes OR No (PLUS Funny).

Oh, I just checked and it seems that you're right. That's weird. Did they change it? I'm pretty sure it was different before.
It kind of makes even less sense now, although I guess they're hoping for people to shift from Yes to Funny, it's no longer really logical.

Yeah, they changed it some time ago. Not sure how I feel about it myself. I guess it's better than before, but i wish the funny votes were counted as part of the total, so a review with 40 upvotes, 20 downvotes and 40 funny gets ranked as 40 out of 100 positive votes, not 40 out of 60.

Hopefully, the thousands of other reviews that are like that will also be dealt with.
It's completely ridiculous that people prospecting to read reviews for a new game has to scroll through a million troll shitposts that are posted with no consequences with comments that are completely useless. Sure, the customers are doing Valve a free service by adding serious reviews, but the trolls are doing nobody any favours when they post their shit everywhere.
I mean, if people would actually downvote the shitposts, it'd be fine. But again, the community doesn't seem to, or pretend not to discern the difference between 'usefulness' and 'funny'.

This is definitely the hill you should choose to fight and die on.

Why exactly posting a chocolate chips cookies recipe on a game review is against Valve's "terms of service"
Why you ask it us? Ask Valve -.-

May I ask you who you are or why I should know you? If you have nothing useful to say, nerve someone other. Thank you.

"If you have nothing useful to say, nerve someone other"
"I not the one who just write nonseless thing just to have someone to communicate. "
"With the difference that you will never find one nonseless comment written by me."
but starting with: "Why you ask it us? Ask Valve -.-"
your logic is an EPIC FAIL...

We are not Valve neither we work for Valve. The only one correct answer is "Ask Valve." There is no epic fail. The more you write, the more you fail dude.

Despite how popular private Ragnarok servers are, it seems the company actually is pretty strongly opposed to them. Seems there may actually be a reasonable basis for Valve banning that one.
Of course, given Valve, it's just as likely that they casually glanced at your point-by-point review and immediately assumed each of your points were steps in a cookie recipe.

That doesn't strike me as unusual. Steam occasionally misrecords time and people leave games running idle, sometimes rather often. More notably, online games change status regularly, so a steady escalation of issues may turn an enjoyable game into a massive frustration of community, server, balance, and mechanical issues- which is what happened to Brawlhalla, and seems to be happening with Rocket League.
Besides, it takes time to make decent cookies!
I mean, with a 15 minute recipe like that, that's around 2230 batches of cookies, but there are certainly worse things to do with your free time than bake cookies for your entire local community.

Those are rookie cookie numbers! Buy some antimatter condensers!

Geeze man dont tell me not do something LOL...
The trick to making a successful carbonara? Stirring the egg mixture quickly into the pasta which should be hot enough to “cook” the egg to make a sauce but not so hot as to make it curdle. Getting it just right can take some practice so don’t despair if your sauce is a little lumpy the first time you make it.
sounds yummy!

Egg is a pretty common thing to throw into pastas and soups after removing them from heat. Egg on its own, unlike within the denseness of baked good ingredients, near-immediately heats through. Likewise, as the dish involved still retains its cooking temperature at the time of mixing, the egg does cook through thoroughly.
In fact, if you try to add the egg too soon then, as your quote indicated, it tends to turn out less than ideally (due to overcooking).
Carbonara is pretty great, though. If you don't have dietary reasons to avoid eggs, cheese, and pork, then it's basically you could hope for out of a pasta dish based in the ingredients. If you're into a non-traditional, sauce-rich approach, both smokey-flavored sauces and sauces emphasizing creamyness can be great variations to the recipe.

Why exactly posting a chocolate chips cookies recipe on a game review is against Valve's "terms of service" since there has been a lot of exploits going around on steam and hardly any of them got banned.
Instead of arguing why your got banned and not the others, I'm curious why not all of that reviews got banned :)

+1. Hopefully they will take care of all the trolls like this one.

unfunny review + people thinking getting top votes on steam is some sort of accomplishment in life + weeaboo profile = sad

Many games you cannot review after one hour. Also there are more criteras. Maybe a patch destroyed the gameplay. Maybe a nerf and your favourite class is now completely useless. Maybe you are banned and now you go enrage with the review.

the game is simply bad that it doesn't even deserve your time to do a proper review
So true, I consider this myself as an indicator of the game's quality too. When a game is flooded with very short or irrelevant/comedy negative reviews, I'm like "oh, so the game is so bad that people don't even bother to explain what they hated so much"
