Occult as good as solved, just that gameofswords is down, so can't check.

Made a good progress today with 8 treasures found so far (even though I had to backtrack a lot to solve the soothsayers). This is really a great event. Currently stuck on the Riddle of all Riddles (have the correct order but no clue what to do next) and the Recursive one -- it is said in the hints that there already is a solid clue somewhere here in the comments but I haven't been able to locate it, could anyone help me with this?

I have actually tried every species of monkey that suits the clues, still nothing :P
I will try to get further tomorrow, i cant believe i have 10 pages on google docs filled with hints :)

Well I know what I'm doing now, but I still can't figure out oubourous even though I have 10 clues, what is wrong with me?, And I'm not terribly clear on where to find the "answer" for the logic problem. Other than that, I still think I'm somehow making the riddle of the occult more difficult than it needs to be by looking for meanings I probably don't need. Will I ever get passed 6 treasures? lol

I'll bump this with a little GA for Go! Go! Nippon! My First Trip to Japan, Level 1+, basic SGtools check and then go to sleep.
Solved a few riddles/puzzles, no new treasure behind them, I'm torn between proud and ashamed :\
Oh, and I'm absolute sure, that Mikalye, snrd3r, Chour and Jondox are all working for at least one intelligence agency!

Nope, It's not a job I would every consider. You get an employer who will never confirm nor deny that you ever worked for them, and an equivalent hole on your work history. If someone applies for a job in my team, and has worked for a three letter agency, I can never officially validate that. Heck, they could have been in prison for all I can tell.

Currently I have 6 locked doors and chests each(some not yet solveable).
I think door hints would be best, more chance of usable check hints. :P
So that leaves:
recursive: I have a feeling I'm missing something obvious here.
egyptian gods: completely stumped here
and rebus: I have some thoughts, but nothing works.
As for chests, I should better ask that through chat so I won't give things away. :)
edit: A hint for only 1 would be helpful. Also your next comment would be your 1000th. :D

I was on the right track for the rebus, just couldn't find the right phrasing for the answer.
So the hint for that didn't help me, I'm sure it will help others. :)

So this is my thousandth comment, so I kind of wanted to make it a particularly good one, but I am also aware that the comment needed to have a purpose. People have questions, and I am to answer them. So firstly, let me start the comment by thanking everyone who has tried the Riddle Dungeon. I write these puzzles for people to try, and I am always gratified when people do. 277 people have entered the dungeon, but I am particularly thankful to the 29 of you who have at least 4 treasures, because those have really assailed the challenges of the dungeon and I can say that I am prepared to hint enough to get most of you through this thing if you want to.
Secondly, let me say that I will respond to the questions, and post additional hints on the Riddle of the Egyptian Gods, The Recursive Riddle of Mikalye, the Second Tricksy Riddle of Mikalye, The Prudent Rebus of Tyre and the Dreaded Riddle of the Bacchae. Like most previous hints. These will join the hints section of the first comment.
Thirdly, let me say that despite this rambling comment, there are no hidden messages or clues in this comment.

I'm left with the Riddle of all Riddles and the (overlooked) Golden Riddle of Tyr. I have ordering for both, but I miss indexes (or something to open my eyes :) ).

I solved two puzzles today... Behind the first were hints for a puzzle I already solved :< Behind the second was a new puzzle format, which I first have to learn in order to solve it.
I can't really imagine how many hours of work Mikalye put into this excellent Riddle Dungeon.
A bit gibberish only for those, who aren't rushing through this like a piece of cake:
I'm torn between these "YES! I finally made it!" moments after two hours of puzzling, thinking, trying out. (And no, sadly I'm not exaggerating the time I need for only one of these puzzles.) and the disappointment when I just find the next puzzle behind that door, where I'm starting again only with question marks above my head.
But I doubt, that I will make it trough Mikalye's 1000th comment ; / Especially as I only have one week left, because it's unsure if I will have Internet access after this week.

I'm doubting it furthermore, but okay, here is my progress so far and where I am stuck:
The Logic Problem of Tyre: I have all the clues, I scribbled it down, I think I have the order and everything right, because all the rules apply. But what should I do with this? There is no question.
The Recursive Riddle of Mikalye: I don't even understand your hints. I read like four times through all your comments on page 1, but I can't find one which is mentioning this riddle.
The Mysterious Riddle of the Oubourous: Again I don't even understand your extra hints. I'm looking at the words snake and/or serpent and looking at the words given in the clues, but I just can't see any connection between them or any possibility how to order those. I also thought about 'eating' one letter away, but it doesn't work.
But hey, during looking through my notes and trying again, at least I solved a different riddle on my own ; )

Bump for finally starting this and getting my first treasure.

Still stuck on the ancient and terrible riddle of tyre, and can't find the trick on the second tricksy riddle.

I read regularly the comments to find some clues but can't figure out somethings with those 2 riddles xD

I am currently busy watching sixteen princesses dance while I contemplate what the soothsayers were telling me, but I keep getting repeatedly confounded on how little I know about Mikalye, and wondering if I will be sitting here until I am ancient...

Bump for solved, thanks to the latest hints dropped. Thanks for the puzzles Mikalye, that was fun and challenging. With a lot of "ray of light through the fog" moments.

I have promised this for a long time. I have published a number of puzzles (21 or 22 this year) on Steamgifts, but I have never really written an EVENT puzzle. I look with some awe at Jeffhowe's Food Pyramid, with puzzles, that lead into puzzles that lead into puzzles, and I have always wanted to try that. And so now I have. This is the most intricate set of nested puzzles that I have ever written. They are at various different levels of difficulty, and they lead to different giveaways, so everyone should be able to get some, many will get most, and a few will get through to the end.
There are more than 100 puzzles of various sizes (mostly very small) in this thing. I have tried to include and honour every form of puzzle that I could. You want a crossword puzzle, I put one in here. You want a wordsearch, I got one. You want logic puzzles, I've got two, You want a sudoku, there's even one of those in there. There are dozens of hours of work in this so I really hope that people enjoy it.
There are 14 giveaways and it all ends on 1 July at the now traditional time of 11pm GMT.
The prizes for this event are:
Hitman Collection,
Amnesia, the Dark Descent,
Middle-earth:Shadow of Mordor GotY edition,
Dungeons - The Dark Lord ,
Risen Franchise Pack,
Cities: Skylines,
The Talos Principle,
Double Dragon:Neon,
Mini Metro,
12 Labours of Hercules II: The Cretan Bull,
Skulls of the Shogun,
Thief Collection,
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Uprising, and
Altered Beast
That's all you need to know really. The event takes the form of a Game of sWords Level and I call it Mikalye's Riddle Dungeon
A few notes on Game of sWords rules that don't get used in most GosW levels and I should reference here. These are NOT specific to my dungeon, they are part of GosW, but most levels don't need them and so it is important to emphasise them.
Doors and Chests in GosW that ask questions can have a penalty EP if you get the answers wrong. Most Doors and Treasure Chests in my dungeon have an EP cost of 10EP. That means that if you get an answer wrong, you will lose 10EP. If you get the answer right, you will lose nothing. However, if you do not have at least 10EP, you will not be able to attempt to open the door.
GosW have the concept of clues, pieces of paper that you can pick up and store in your notebook. However, every single [expletive deleted] bit of wall in my dungeon has a clue on it. There are hundreds of them. As such your notebook can quickly be overwhelmed. A clue can exist in only one place. If you pick it up, then it disappears from the wall where you found it, and appears instead in your notebook. If you drop it from your notebook, then it will reappear at wherever you originally found it. You can highlight any clue in your notebook, hit delete and save your notebook and that clue is gone from the notebook (and back at its original wall). Sadly, you will not normally get all of the clues for a particular puzzle together, you might get puzzle 1 clue 1, then puzzle 1 clue 2, then puzzle 3 clue 4, then puzzle 1 clue 3, so learning how to manage your notebook can be useful. Alternatively, you can take your own notes on paper or electronic paper.
Finally, I use ROT13 extensively in the dungeon, and I realised after I had published the dungeon that I had not explained ROT13 in the dungeon. Most readers of this will know it, but for clarity, you simply shift each letter forward or backward 13 characters in the alphabet, so all A's become M's and vice versa, B's become N's and so on. I use ROT13 to define a clue that is not needed to solve the puzzle, but is there to provide an in-game hinting system. So if there was, for example a rebus, with a picture of a Jersey cow, then a big plus sign, then a picture of a desk lamp, then a big minus sign and then a picture of a boy scout camp with tents around a bonfire, you could solve as COW+LAMP-CAMP = OWL (Note, there is only one rebus in the dungeon and it is easier than this one). You could probably do that without any hint, but I could include a ROT13 enciphered hint to say something like "the third picture is of a CAMP" (Gur guveq cvpgher vf bs n PNZC) or even "you are looking for a three-letter type of bird" (lbh ner ybbxvat sbe n guerr-yrggre glcr bs oveq). I would advise against deciphering the ROT13 clues unless you are stuck on that particular thing, but it is of course your dungeon to play with.
Do note, that I do get to see how many treasures people have encountered and where. If you enter a givewaway for a treasure you cannot possibly have reached yet, then I will be cross and call for a re-roll. Please do not cheat.
Lastly, I had a new year's resolution to publish a minimum of 52 puzzles this year, and I am still on target, but not if I do not publish for the month that this is running, so I will also publish puzzles to pretty much the normal schedule while this is live. Seeing Nordhbane running PA7 and PA8 simultaneously told me that this could work.
Enjoy,
Mikalye
