Should I try to create another Game of Swords dungeon level
So there is others wizards after the black one! Just need to find how to open a door but my brain seems to collapse actually xD

Actually I think I must open the alabaster door or the tatora door (with Riddle of the Woods) But in the first case I need one or 2 more clues and for the Tatora I can't find a clue to help me :D. other doors seems to need more clues too. I'll try to run head first on the doors I can't open. Maybe it'll work!

Ok found it! Hope I can make one or two more steps now.

At this point too. Was thinking to have the answer right but I'm not really sure of the translation of the 4th question in my language so must have misunderstood this one.

Some mistakes:
There's a typo in the "Very strong hint for the riddle of London plane door"
The kauri door only takes the plural form of the answer
The matai doesn't take the action described, just where you'd see it.
For the alabaster door, the dashes on word 4 don't match the word. (may be intentional)
"An soothsayer" typo

Whoops sorry. I thought that I had proofread everything. But you are quite right, I dropped a letter. the word that appears as netr should appear as ynetr. It is really hard to adjust an in-flight dungeon that lots of people are using, so I will apologise and add this to the corrections/errata section.
Comment has been collapsed.
The Kauri door only takes the plural by design. These things tend to come in plurals most commonly.
As to the Matai door, you may be right. I took 4 answers, for two ways of describing the activity involved, one word for the soldiers, and one term for the slayer, but I should have included two more options for the two possible actions that could yield this result. Again I apologise, but I also suspect that this is still gettable. If you tried one of the two actions with your first guess, your second guess would certainly be one of the 4 options that I accept.

duh. got it. Damn that's a good puzzle
I wish I could get teleport scrolls or something. Since backtracking is slow.
I'm not sure on how to solve the riddle of all riddles. I may have 6 letters, but no idea how to sort them.
Or the ones with the counting.
Or the one of the beast.
I guess I might find hints further into the dungeon...

Could there be an error on the Turbulent Kriss-Kross of Tyre? The room for the longest word is longer than the word.
--------------------------old---------------------------
Edit;FIXED
I can't seem to move past the LG of Tyre, I get the "door unlocked" message but the question just pops up again when I try to walk through.
Same with the sy-like cipher one door. (I loved solving that one) ( Very cool, specially without hints)

Getting the door unlocked message but the door not actually being unlocked is a bug in GosW. I have written to SErVER51 about it. Apparently he can fix it. I think I tested a few of the parameters of GosW in writing this, pushing beyond what was considered "normal".
Thanks for the warm fuzzies on the cipher. That was the last puzzle of Tyre to be written.

There seems to be a bug in with the north hint at X12Y12, I think a "n>" is missing, Which kind of freezes the puzzle.
Reloading the page fixes it.
PS: take a look at what I said about the kriss-kross puzzle, it may be intentional, but I doubt it.

I'm at the same point. Using the clues, Finding the orders, doves etc .. but can't figure out the interpretion too. But I'm on it! :D

You need to read all of them, left to right
All of what? I'm pretty sure I have the statue puzzle solved, but nothing is jumping out at me. I've tried a few things with the solution, but nothing has worked.

So glad to see such a nice event from you! What a well polished and awesome event to conquer!
Coming at a perfect time too as food pyramid ends tomorrow! I'll direct people to check your event and Nordhbanes!
Thank you for your kind opening words...
So far have solved 4 riddles but not any that lead to treasure... Not sure if I am searching correctly tho as never did this game but once before...
Love that we aren't dying all the time and energy lasts a long time too. I tried a game of swords before and just gave up as it was discouraging..,
You took the idea and implemented it into a puzzling adventure instead of combat...
Bravo! We have some creative people here designing events! Thanks for your hard work for the SG community!

Thanks for the kind words Jeff. I am regularly blown away by the effort you put in. The food pyramid is a fine event, cleaner and less frustrating than your exciting cat pyramid, but every one of your events has been both very impressive and a humongous effort.

It's also the best support to stock the food pyramid

I don't know why I am doing this, I have pretty much every game/not interesed in the rest.
Oh well...back to the dungeon!

Ahhhh.... The number of puzzles that I have solved without wanting the GA at the end is high. Sometimes I have entered the GA purely because having fought my way though, I was going to enter. Over time I have won some games I wasn't sure I wanted, and some of them have turned out to be fabulous.

Either I don't have enough information to go on or some of these riddles are just way over my head...
EDIT: I have come to the conclusion that school is frying my brain. I just figured out how to get two treasures after staring blankly at the screen for the last 5 hours. Homework? What Homework?

lol, totally ruined the immersion <3
I'm enjoying this so far!

First time playing a GosW game. Seems really fun but omggg so harddd

I feel betrayed, to be completely fair, this probably has waaaay better rewards than the typical GosW puzzle :P

Okay, i found on the internet someone named Nordhbane who created some kind of puzzle in which he managed somehow to hide a code inside the picture. I have downloaded the picture related to Trial of the Reds and tried all various actions in my MS Paint or/and online GIMP-like softwares but nothing revealed. No idea what to do with it... :(

When I unlock the rhenium door, it kicks me back out. (i.e., unlock it, try to go through it, and it prompts me to unlock it again - but it's no longer red on the map)
Same thing happened for the Oubourous one. I was able to figure out a couple words that were missing based on the few that I got, so I tried them and one worked! But it kicked me out. Is it possible that since I haven't found all of the clues that it's not giving it to me?
Nope, not the issue. Had them all for the very*5 old puzzle, solved, didn't let me in.
Oh well, if this gets fixed, that's three things waiting for me!
Comment has been collapsed.
Which coords is the rhenium door? You... you solved the Oubourous riddle?!?!?! Gotta step up my game.
Wait you had all the words for the very very very very very old puzzle? Far as I know that's a riddle you gotta solve, not the answer. Unless I'm reading ya wrong.

Occult is broken for me, too. I've messaged GoS creator in the Steam Group and linked him to this comment thread, so hopefully he'll be able to diagnose the issue.
I'll be at 7 treasures once this is resolved!
And yes, I solved it! Was I not supposed to? ;-)

This is a bug in GosW. I will message SErVER51. That should not be happening.
No, If a door is unlocked, it is unlocked. If you have solved the three you have talked about: The Very, Very, Very, Very Old Riddle of Praxidales, The Mysterious Riddle of the Oubourous, and The Prudent Rebus of Tyre then they should be solved. This is not right.
Comment has been collapsed.
Apparently, there are 5 people who have had this error and it should be fixed for everyone. SErVER51 noted that he had never planned for a dungeon that uses as many resources as this one did, so something filled up that was never expected to. It should be fixed for all players now, and it should not recur.

Just tried it on one door and it let me through...and there's another riddle inside.

Confused as to what to do in some rooms. eg One where you are shown an occult card, got the picture, understand the character in picture. Appears nowhere to go in room but when I leave there is a purple line across the door on minimap leading me to believe I have left something undone. Do I have to physically manipulate said picture? Not ever been able to solve these puzzles before, do not have photoshop. Have paint but not sure that would help.
Comment has been collapsed.
Purple line means its a hidden room you found by checking the walls.
As for the occult cards, not too sure myself but I think they're hints to The Mysterious Riddle of the Occult you'll see later on in the game.

Stuck on Lacewood door, tried 3 things which were not correct (guess, no knowledge used). Have found 2 hints for this door, but cannot find source page for poet which gives relevant info. Are there more hints or am I just stuck? Don't suppose we get any dynamite in any chests
Comment has been collapsed.
Sure, I can provide an additional blatant hint, as the riddles are supposed to be challenging but not permanently impassable obstacles.
Very strong additional hint for the riddle of the lacewood door: Gur "grnef" gung ner jrcg ner znqr bs jnk nf gurl ebyy qbja gur fvqrf. Vs vg rire orpbzrf hahfnoyr, orpnhfr n xrl pbzcbarag unf oheag njnl, fvzcyl phggvat bss gur gbc gvc bs vg fubhyq erirny guvf pbzcbarag shegure qbja gur bowrpg.

I think I may have to give up on solving the riddle of the Woods.
I'm just stuck on that one :/
So it's only one treasure for me I suppose.
Comment has been collapsed.
It seems like I'm stuck once again, this time at the BWs 3rd question. How specific do I have to make it as I've tried different variations of the obvious name itself and then the family of this name, but so far in the puzzle it seems like the answers have been only in the lenghth of a single word, but the family of the tree has 2 words linked with it.
Comment has been collapsed.
One is a soothsayer clue and one is without soothsayer. Technically different, but the same info.

Yes, The original grid was incorrect. I decided that it was better to 404 than to have the wrong data up for people to be confused. It is in the Errata/Corrections section (the first comment in this thread). I will talk to SErVER51 tonight about the best way to repair the 404 in a live dungeon. In the interim, you can find the correct gird in the Corrections section. Very, Very Sorry.

Is there a hint on how to do the occult riddle? I just see a bunch of random pictures and clues and try to find the what's in common with them all?
Comment has been collapsed.
Uhmmm uhhh they show pictures of... importance? Uhgggg my brains asleep. Well I got near a month to think about it might try something else for now and hope something clicks in the next 26 or so days.
Also is there a way to look at the pictures again other than refinding each room that offered one? Man I wish I did a better job logging everything now. Usually my memories decent enough to compensate for my logic :P

The how many doors is a bit misleading/confusing,,,I have gone well beyond basic math in my 37 years of life and I cannot figure out what is meant by lead off in this context? is it looking for # or number spelled out? Is leading off only left or right, or does it include door that take you out of the colored text?

I have promised this for a long time. I have published a number of puzzles (21 or 22 this year) on Steamgifts, but I have never really written an EVENT puzzle. I look with some awe at Jeffhowe's Food Pyramid, with puzzles, that lead into puzzles that lead into puzzles, and I have always wanted to try that. And so now I have. This is the most intricate set of nested puzzles that I have ever written. They are at various different levels of difficulty, and they lead to different giveaways, so everyone should be able to get some, many will get most, and a few will get through to the end.
There are more than 100 puzzles of various sizes (mostly very small) in this thing. I have tried to include and honour every form of puzzle that I could. You want a crossword puzzle, I put one in here. You want a wordsearch, I got one. You want logic puzzles, I've got two, You want a sudoku, there's even one of those in there. There are dozens of hours of work in this so I really hope that people enjoy it.
There are 14 giveaways and it all ends on 1 July at the now traditional time of 11pm GMT.
The prizes for this event are:
Hitman Collection,
Amnesia, the Dark Descent,
Middle-earth:Shadow of Mordor GotY edition,
Dungeons - The Dark Lord ,
Risen Franchise Pack,
Cities: Skylines,
The Talos Principle,
Double Dragon:Neon,
Mini Metro,
12 Labours of Hercules II: The Cretan Bull,
Skulls of the Shogun,
Thief Collection,
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Uprising, and
Altered Beast
That's all you need to know really. The event takes the form of a Game of sWords Level and I call it Mikalye's Riddle Dungeon
A few notes on Game of sWords rules that don't get used in most GosW levels and I should reference here. These are NOT specific to my dungeon, they are part of GosW, but most levels don't need them and so it is important to emphasise them.
Doors and Chests in GosW that ask questions can have a penalty EP if you get the answers wrong. Most Doors and Treasure Chests in my dungeon have an EP cost of 10EP. That means that if you get an answer wrong, you will lose 10EP. If you get the answer right, you will lose nothing. However, if you do not have at least 10EP, you will not be able to attempt to open the door.
GosW have the concept of clues, pieces of paper that you can pick up and store in your notebook. However, every single [expletive deleted] bit of wall in my dungeon has a clue on it. There are hundreds of them. As such your notebook can quickly be overwhelmed. A clue can exist in only one place. If you pick it up, then it disappears from the wall where you found it, and appears instead in your notebook. If you drop it from your notebook, then it will reappear at wherever you originally found it. You can highlight any clue in your notebook, hit delete and save your notebook and that clue is gone from the notebook (and back at its original wall). Sadly, you will not normally get all of the clues for a particular puzzle together, you might get puzzle 1 clue 1, then puzzle 1 clue 2, then puzzle 3 clue 4, then puzzle 1 clue 3, so learning how to manage your notebook can be useful. Alternatively, you can take your own notes on paper or electronic paper.
Finally, I use ROT13 extensively in the dungeon, and I realised after I had published the dungeon that I had not explained ROT13 in the dungeon. Most readers of this will know it, but for clarity, you simply shift each letter forward or backward 13 characters in the alphabet, so all A's become M's and vice versa, B's become N's and so on. I use ROT13 to define a clue that is not needed to solve the puzzle, but is there to provide an in-game hinting system. So if there was, for example a rebus, with a picture of a Jersey cow, then a big plus sign, then a picture of a desk lamp, then a big minus sign and then a picture of a boy scout camp with tents around a bonfire, you could solve as COW+LAMP-CAMP = OWL (Note, there is only one rebus in the dungeon and it is easier than this one). You could probably do that without any hint, but I could include a ROT13 enciphered hint to say something like "the third picture is of a CAMP" (Gur guveq cvpgher vf bs n PNZC) or even "you are looking for a three-letter type of bird" (lbh ner ybbxvat sbe n guerr-yrggre glcr bs oveq). I would advise against deciphering the ROT13 clues unless you are stuck on that particular thing, but it is of course your dungeon to play with.
Do note, that I do get to see how many treasures people have encountered and where. If you enter a givewaway for a treasure you cannot possibly have reached yet, then I will be cross and call for a re-roll. Please do not cheat.
Lastly, I had a new year's resolution to publish a minimum of 52 puzzles this year, and I am still on target, but not if I do not publish for the month that this is running, so I will also publish puzzles to pretty much the normal schedule while this is live. Seeing Nordhbane running PA7 and PA8 simultaneously told me that this could work.
Enjoy,
Mikalye
