I've been trying all day and I know one of you people are bound to be able to know how.
I downloaded a bruteforce program and it doesn't seem to work. Anybody willing to help me out?

Try '12345'.
Or 'Password'

It's a bit more complicated than that, I've already tried everything that seems to be obvious.

Right, is this just a random password protected rar off of the internet somewhere? Is it one you passworded, and then forgot?

I just smashed my head on the keyboard after 5634-ish attempts and it worked. Costed me a new keyboard though :/

What kind of .rar is it? The plans for the new IPhone6? Microsoft secret information? Nuclear missles?

What rubbish you speak. Any encryption can be beaten given enough time and knowledge. As for WinRar, there's various program's you can use to get at them, none of which I'll link to as a quick Google will point them out. Chance's are you'll need to use a Brute Force method and with WinRar's 128bit AES Key, you can be waiting a very long time depending on the original Passwords length and characters used. Longer the password, the longer it will take to Brute Force. Dictionary Attacks are viable so long as you know the original password was an actual word, and these tend to be a bit quicker.

You can find an overview of AES here.

It's a leaked album. Password protected, of course.

Would actually help if we knew the album name, and the place of origin.

Atlas by Parkway Drive, it's torrented, don't know if it's a fake album or not, but it's worth a shot.

I think you just made me discover a new band to listen to actually, but alas, The torrent? It is fake. Sorry that you have wasted your time.

You know that's piracy right? You can't discuss that here.

Yeah sadly you are kind of out of luck atm since RAR passwords (at least with WinRAR) are two-part salt encrypted, so you can't use known methods for hash decoding.

most sites that release albums use their name as the password, so try that. Brute Forcing does work.... you just need to let it run for a long ass time.
Another thing you can try is to google the original archive name and the word "password"... that's if it's even legit and not a fake file used for tracking download numbers.
