I tried it out. It is so hard to do anything.. This software over complicates everything..Won't let you add text to your videos, splitting clips is hard, importing clips is a hassle.

I don't think you read the ONLY line in the description. XD

Its not for a few simple edits. If i want to make a gaming video and lets say i want to put a webcam feature in the bottom or scale the video up or down.. WMM will NOT be able to do that for me. And WMM makes rendering time really long and hard to upload.

I'm not supporting this, but if you do happen to captain a ship I suggest Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro.

The more feature the software has, the more overwhelming it can be to beginners. But it's nothing a few tutorials and a lot of tinkering can't fix.

Videopad free is a decent non-linear. Pretty basic, just a few tracks, but works well. And I've never had a codec issue with it. I usually use Premiere Pro and After Effects, so I'm kinda spoiled.

Here's a direct link to the free version: http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/vpsetup.exe

No problem. It's the one I recommend to almost everybody that is not needing pro-level software.
