What exactly does that mean? My current estimated wins is 1.45
I've won 1 giveaway
I've entered 796
Now, I'm no math wiz, but I don't think I win or have won 1.45 of all the giveaways I've entered.

So, what DOES that "Estimated Wins" section mean anyway? How is the number decided?

It means like for every giveaway you've entered, what was the possiblity of you winning that giveaway. Then for each giveaway, the same is calculated and added up.

Herego, estimated wins.

Like you entered a giveaway with 199 other participants. Then it would be 1/200 chances, so roughly about .oo5 for that one.

So then, what does my number mean?

It means that, on average, you should expect to have won about that many giveaways. Obviously you can't win 1.45 giveaways, so in your case it means between 1 and 2, which is, in fact, about how many you've won.

It's not really a very important number, just a fun toy to tell you whether you've been particularly lucky or unlucky.

It's the probability of your total wins based on how many giveaways you entered and what their average number of entries are.

It is just a statistical value. If you roll a 6 sided dice 6 times with every side equal chances of getting rolled ( 1/6) then your winning number probably popped up 1 time.

The estimated wins has nothing to do with the actual wins though. There would be a chance that your winning number is rolled 6 times. In that case your estimated win would still be at 1,but your actual wins would be 6.

Now on the big steamgifts system its more complicated, but the same. The value takes the number of entries in giveaways and your winning changes in those and then calculates the estimated wins value.
