Unless you funnel funds through the Marketplace, but then they take a cut of the money.

They as in Valve, but I don't think that what I'm suggesting is very legal.

Not sure that it would be illegal, but likely against TOS.

The real question is, why would it be illegal? Steam get a percentage of the money up front and the rest of the money still remains on Steam.

Depends on the reason for transferring the funds. If it's a gift, one might ask why it wasn't deposited to the recipient account in the first place. Otherwise you might expect it to be payment for a game trade - and I'm pretty sure valve frowns upon unlicensed resale of games, even within their system.

I don't know... But I feel that if this became a problem it could be misconstrued as money laundering.

It's legal. Valve is not a legislature.
