I dropped a full cup of coffee over my keybord - It was a Gaming Laptop, not a Desktop D:
The liquid made it in beside the touchpad buttons which led to the loss of most of its functionality and the loss of 1 HDD drive.
On the good side the soldered CPU & GPU & motherboard stayed unaffected and still work like a charm.
So I felt more relief than anger, despite the incident finally :D

Bad year. Nothing too bad happened to me personally (one almost heads-on car collision, but it wasn't that bad), but too much death and sickness of people I care about or their families. Quite a sad and stressful year (especially the past few months). I hope that 2018 will be better, but I think it's just that point in life where the older generation is at the end of its life and my generation is starting with more serious health problems. I'm not in a very optimistic mood at the moment.

Sorry, you don't quite meet my criteria: your sent vs won ratio is less than 1 and it doesn't look like you've played too many of your wins (around 15% of your wins have at least 1 achievement unlocked). However, you get mad points for asking politely! :p

Despite some of the doom and gloom, I rather enjoyed 2017. Got some important (adult) stuff accomplished and generally enjoyed life. I'm proud that I finally applied for my P.eng (professional engineering designation) after year and years...and years of pissing around.
Hope you guys had a good year. Feel free to share your stories of finally surmounting what you thought was an impossible obstacle.
