It is in my wishlist and it is currently at 50% till, Friday 10AM Pacific Time ( I think that would be until Saturday 2 AM in my region South East Asia )
and i think i can buy it by friday after noon at my region time. Since that would be the time i will get my steam loaded up..

Now the question is the title, 50% OFF and in 2 weeks Christmas Sale will be here, and i have no idea, that this game might get cheaper and or lower sale price when the Christmas Sale comes..

Rust goes for about $10 (USD) on G2A. A lot of people on Steam Trades go by that value.

And most people I've encountered think their bundled games are worth more than everyone else's, especially if they have good rep. But always worth a shot, I suppose!

wait. Same discount 50% was on previous Cristmas sale. Also in this two weeks you can try to find 3 friends to play together and get 4-pack

I'm 99% sure it will not be cheaper - Valve kinda prefers devs from making even-better Xmas deals in the time between Autumn-Winter Sale, you either have same % for whole time, or you don't make any sales until Xmas.
They hate "I bought it week ago on Midweek sale and now it's 10$ cheaper, I want my money" mails.

Anyway, if you'll play it right away, buy it. If you'll have to wait anyway, wait for Xmas.

I'd go for it! Sure, almost every single game is on sale during the Summer and Winter sales, but thing is... the discounts aren't always great. For example, a game that costs $10 (sorry, gotta use USD) may be on sale for $5 during the Winter sale, but during a regular weekly sale, it'll only be $2.50 Is paying $2.50 extra really worth it, when it only goes towards an $0.08 trading card?

It may be lower in 2 weeks, but at the same time, Steam may never sell the game for that price ever again. Not worth the gamble q:

This.

The game gets worse with every update, to the point that I've stopped playing it.

Wait until they've fixed the issues plaguing it, then see what sales there are. ;)

That's individual. Last time I had been experiencing regular crashes was in Spring (and that was an issue with my drivers). I think they have gone a long way as far as technical issues go. The only issue is optimization so if you have below average PC I would not bother. I have i5 3570K (base clock) and 660-ti which is about average (GPU actually already below average) and struggle to get stable 90 fps on low details.

I'm still suffering from the memory leak, the game becomes unresponsive for me after having it open for a few hours. (Although I'm using the Linux version, I'm pretty sure that it's already been fixed on the Windows version).

The above is a (comparatively, for Rust) small problem though, it's the low FPS in buildings which was introduced a few updates back that put the nail in the coffin for me for now.

Don't buy it at all. It's trash.

That's your personal opinion and 130.000 people who gave it a positive review on Steam may argue that it is false. You have all the right to consider it a trash though.

Lot of people don't bother about updating reviews even if there are massive changes in games, I thought I'd mention this. I've seen a lot of complaint about the game recently, likely it would get less if everyone would revise their review, or there would be "running around naked, eaten by a bear, 10/10" reviews :D

Good point. From my point of view they have greatly improved the game's performance and it's visuals. Considering they are regularly updating the game I believe it is understandable that major bugs (like the FPS issues in buildings from one of the recent updates) pop up from time to time but they are usually fixed in a couple of weeks at most.

They are also doing major changes to the gameplay. For example the XP introduction received a major backlash from the community and was removed only after couple of months. Right now they are trying a new system which looks pretty cool from what I have seen (haven't played for last month so it might have been scrapped already as well) and there will always be people who do not like the changes while there will be others who did not like the previous system but favor the new one. My point is that they are still adding new stuff to the game even three years after the "release" (while it is still officially an early access it has been a pretty complete game for a while) which I think is really cool.

Go and take a look at Group Buys forum at steam. Group rules forbid making a profit in a bundle split. Not guaranteed that this game is still available, but there is a chance.

Well about those positive Reviews, the game used to be good, like really good. But they changed it completely, they basicly started again. So alot of those Reviews aren't valid thesedays. I personally haven't touched it after the massive overhaul.

Certain it will be at least 50% off in the Christmas sale. Unless you're desperate to play it in the next week, I don't see any reason to buy now...

Rule of thumb, can you wait 2 weeks to play it? If yes, do not buy because theres a chance it'll be cheaper or you'll see something else you didn't expect to be as good a discount. If you can't wait two weeks to play, buy it now, you really want it so the enjoyment you're going to get is worth the money you could potentially lose with any additional sale.

3rd option, trade for it, it'll take longer but be significantly cheaper as its been bundled.

LOOL , Did not even went on sale this winter- dangit! Should have bought it 2 weeks ago when it was mid-week madness, anyways i guess im just gonna have to play my other new games while waiting for it to be on mid week again ( maybe 1month+ ) or summer sale..

ps: summer sale sucks ( not the actual sale but the time ) because at those months it's the beggining of the school year, so yeah.. sad might not have enough time to get to play the new games.

it's time to buy, it's increasing!! from 3.96 -> 4.06 -> 4.10 [now] -> 5$+ in the next days

i just noticed how HB works? or am i wrong?? / except for the tier 1 ( 1$ )

Edit: also, it shows price of about 4.06 ~ 4.10 $ for tier 2 / but on checkout it does require you to pay 5$ ( if you type 4.10$ which is tier's 2 suggested price, it will only include tier 1 )

So what's the point of the price suggestion of 4.10$ if the price for tier 2 is 5$ Minimum.. :/

just curious, checking out now as i type this.. the .90c doesn't matter but still bothers me why show 4.10 when 5$ is the minimum payment to get tier 2

It's kinda strange, never happened to me. It I type $4.11 or if I click di tier 2 button that appears right down there, it lets me pay $4.11 in euros.
Did you try adding just 1 cent? In order to the the tier you have to "Beat the average", that means to pay more than the current average price shown above.
If the price is $4 you have to pay 4.01, if it's $4.54 you have to pay $4.55, in this case you should have to pay 4.11!
(EDIT: What I meant is you have to select "Custom amount" and write your price)
