NOT STEAM REDEEMaBLE
Comment has been collapsed.
Clash of Heroes is on the top of my wishlist. The other games are not that interesting for me even though as a strategy genre fan I see they are of good quality. The price (12 USD) is not THAT low. And, frankly speaking, I do not really understand via which system can you redeem the games than. Still, thanks, and I could probably advise strategy game lovers to have a look at it. :)

Russia is a separate region on Steam. With lower prices. ;) Still, reading above that CoH is Steam-redeemable and keeping in mind the DLC costs another 1,2 Euros I would probably get it, if I could invest such a considerable (for me) amount.

Two of those games are published by Paradox who might not be the biggest publisher in the world still doesn't count as indie as far as I know. That said Paradox is a great publisher/developer and Mount and Blade is a wonderful game, Warband is the better version however.

On a scale from one A to three A I give them two A and a smiley face.

lol are you serious Paradox has 118 games in their catalogue on Steam alone paradox steam catalogue Name an indie company that has that please.

I'm getting 44. So? Yes, they published some games, but most of them are more or less unknown to the majority of gamers. Also I would categorize none of their games as an A-Title.
Sure Paradox is not some super small company that sells 100 copies of a game. But they are no major publisher either. On a scale from 1 (indie) to 10 (major) you could endlessly argue whether they are a 4 or a 6 for example. But they are definitvely neither a 9 nor a 2.
Don't understand me wrong: I'm not calling Paradox indie. But they are not so far from it.

To clarify some stuff, and just because I like to do that, I'll point out the definition of indie is a publishing company of any kind - music, games, books, movies... - that is not backed by the majors. In the musical field, there are five majors: EMI, Warner Bros, and I forgot the rest (cough). The majority are labels, and these are funded by the majors - in video games, you often see a developer (the "label") and a publisher (the, uh, "publisher").
The little minority is the indie part, whose funding is internal, meaning they are not backed up by majors.
Paradox is mostly a publisher as they hire a company to do the manual work for the games. In the traditional sense, I think we can safely assume Paradox Interactive is more of a major since they're not funded by any other company.

Does anybody knows what languages they support? I mean for their Steam games it is clear its multilanguage, but whats about their Origin games or those without any platform?

I would have loved this if they were all actvated on Steam....

can you tell me how a "pack" is not a bundle?
(First dictionary definition of pack: A collection of items tied up or wrapped; a bundle.)
They sell it with the "indie master pack" name and promoting it saying "Show your support for indies" in portuguese..

It's a regular pack of games, just like any others. They existed long before any sort of bundle in the obvious meaning of the word we're using here. And yes, the meaning is extremely obvious. If you claim it isn't obvious to you, then you're either nitpicking, trolling or just not worth the time.
You absolutely know what we mean when we say "it's not really a bundle". It's absolutely obvious. Stop nitpicking.

Clash of Heroes is published by UbiSoft. That's as un-damn-indie as it gets. I can feel the AIDS flowing from this website already.

I have no interest in this at all. I'm kind of getting fed up with all the shitty indie bundles coming up now.
Humble Bundle has always had quality games. Indie Royale was a good idea, and I sunk money into it, but I'm realizing I'm NEVER playing the games included in them. BeMine was great, and I'm really enjoying it, but those kinds of bundles can't be run very often.
Anyhow, thanks for the heads up... just not for me.

I'm seeing a lot of people who only want to redeem games on Steam O_o. I'll admit I like to activate my games there too. I don't know, might be the process or the fact that you're somewhat collecting them one by one, ever so slowly, until one day you've got all of them. Or perhaps it's the achievements.
But just a heads up guys, the day Steam closes for ANY reason your games are gone and there's nothing you can do to get them back - as per the EULA you signed upon creating an account. When buying a game on Steam, you don't actually buy the game but a license...
"Valve hereby grants, and you accept, a limited, terminable, non-exclusive license and right to use the Software for your personal use in accordance with this Agreement and the Subscription Terms. The Software is licensed, not sold. Your license confers no title or ownership in the Software." (straight from the agreement)
That bit here is why you need to accept yet another EULA when installing the Creative Kit, which allows you to make mods for Skyrim. You need to sign another one for a single reason: the core files of Skyrim don't belong to you, and you wouldn't have the right to modify or use its core files. When you buy the game straight from retail however, there's normally no license to go through. This gives you ownership of your copy, and among other things allows you to modify your game however you please.
This isn't a rant, mind you. I'm just surprised people like Steam so much and I can't explain it.

::You:: know this (I've tried my best to not use formatting here). Don't overestimate your fellow humans, it could save your life one day ;)
I could always add if you're banned from using Steam all your games go with it. "Valve may terminate your Account or a particular Subscription for any conduct or activity that Valve believes is illegal, constitutes a Cheat, or which otherwise negatively affects the enjoyment of Steam by other Subscribers" (Cheats are defined as "functionality that may give a player an unfair competitive advantage when playing multiplayer versions of any Software, other Valve products, or modifications thereof"). That would be silly of them of course since you wouldn't buy anything anymore. But they could do it.
Go look at how much dollars you've spent towards Steam, and then tell me why it's even greater than your hard-drive.

And that's the day we pirate the games instead, because WE ALREADY BOUGHT THEM.
Really, the legal language should be that licenses themselves are sold. Then it'd be easier to get due recourse in case shit goes down.
At least, that's what I think. I'm not a lawyer.
Yeah, I'm much happier with games with no DLC than with a Steam wrapper DLC. I'm perfectly happy with no Steam community, no Steam cloud, no Steam chieves, as long as it means I can play the game anytime I want.

Maybe it is, maybe it doesn't matter if it isn't (can't read Portuguese). Steam has the unusual combination of making you dependant on its reliability and being considerably less reliable than any other service that I've ever used.
* Most of my Steam games are "unavailable, try again later" at the moment, so please understand that I'm not too impressed right now *

Sure I can. I can pirate each and every one of them with no remorse and no one holding a moral position over me because I payed for each and every single one of them. Even most of my saves will stay right on my hard drive.

Not quite. If you buy the license, you only receive the privilege of using the game as defined by the EULA - that is, through Steam. The content doesn't belong to you, only the right to play the game through your Steam account.
Straight from the EULA again: "All title, ownership rights and intellectual property rights in and to the Software [the digital content you can buy on Steam] and any and all copies thereof are owned by Valve and/or its licensors". If you actually had property over the game's files, you'd have something like "... its licensors and licensee" (I had to check that: when you buy a game on Steam you're the licensee).
I trust Valve though. In the last 10 years I haven't had any problem with them, unlike Ubisoft or EA to name a few. But they're a corporation and the first thing you learn in Economics 101 is: every corporation is there to make money. Better prevent than cure, I guess.

Law!=morals. I can pirate now if I want and it's just as illegal as it would be then. I pirate not because I can't, but because I choose not to. If I lose all my games on steam, I won't chose not to, it's as simple as that. My morals have no issues with that. Yours might, but you have no objective reason to call your morals "better".
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, should have included laws are not a moral code. Duely noted. I didn't though because in several countries downloading a copy for yourself without following proper procedure (= buying it) is allowed, and even legal.
Comment has been collapsed.
Just because you agree to the terms of a EULA doesn't mean that they're enforceable. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/End-user_license_agreement#Enforceability_of_EULAs_in_the_United_States

I think that if they'd switch MB:WF&S for MB:Warband i'd definetly buy it, the price is tempting either way.

Never understood that mentality, or the compulsion to announce it. Never mind, each to his own. Still, this pack costs ~$11.50 and contains a Steam key (M&M:CoH+DLC) worth $18 so if you want that game it's cheaper buying the pack even if you don't care about the other games.
