In the UK you can submit to get your name changed and pay, etc, but if you use a name on everything (bills, letters, even what your friends and family call you, etc) for two years, then you have officially changed your name.

Sure, I like my real name, I never considered to change it.

I had a ex-gf though who said she didn't like her first name and would like to change it.
