well, i have nearly 2000 entrs and only 15 wins... and minimaly 10 is from group giveaways

Given that you have 71 entries and the amount of entries in each giveaway usually ranges from 150 to 2000, no, you are not unlucky, just probably not very good at math.

Never expect to win when you enter a giveaway... You'll win something eventually...

If you're just doing public giveaways, expect to get a win after about 1000 entries. That's usually the way it works out.

I'm not sure how to find out exactly how long I'd been here by the time I got my first win, but I do know that I was just over 1k entries, and that a lot of other people seem to win at roughly that many. I think I'd been here about a month and a half at that point. And part of me was kind of convinced that this place must be a scam.

In SGv2 you can check exact date by moving your mouse cursor over the estimate. It applies to end and beginning of giveaways, too.

So, I guess I completed my first giveaway 6 days after joining, but didn't win a game until 7 weeks. Kind of surprised I stuck it out!

Should also stick to only entering ones with 1k entries or less, since I started doing that three quarters of my wins have happened. :P

Better give up now if you're getting impatient already. I've entered 1,000+ giveaways before winning my first one. I highly recommend reading the FAQ (not just skimming it, read it). It'll answer most questions, and will teach you about the rules of the website and how to avoid breaking them.

It is a good idea to know the FAQ well, as even missing one thing can cause you to get banned temporarily if you break said rule. Nice to see a new user so active and(the proper word is slipping my mind) accepting of constructive and not so constructive criticism.
I wish I could say the same about myself, but I am not quite as lucky as you I guess :P
Another tip for you. private giveaways in forums with hidden and unhidden puzzles are a great chance to get a game you want, and the higher level you are the higher level giveaways you can enter - with theoretically less entries.

Yes, you are. Anonymous is a lucky bastard. please read the FAQ and Guidelines or take a course in statistics. If 1000 people enter, you have to enter at least 1000 giveaways before it becomes more statistically likely to win vs. not. See, math is everywhere.

My win lose ratio has to be around 1/500.
You just enter things you would be happy if you win, and if you don't- oh well, it didn't cost you anything in actuality.

just look at the number of entries in the giveaways and do the math.
if you are not able to do the math, play less games and learn more math.
anyone should be able to do that simple calculations.

I have been on this site for a couple days and have entered as many giveaways as possible. I feel like i am real unlucky cause I cant seem to win anything. And I have entered a lot of giveaways. Am I just really unlucky?
I also have another question. When some giveaways have ended, It says Anonymous has won. What does that mean. Has the winner not been selected?
