it was leaked a while back that the console versions are ports of the PC version. So its been made for PC

Too early, that's only 2 months away, and they haven't even announced it yet. Hype needs to be build, nobody announces they'll release a game in only 60 days

My hype status depends on how much cash I can get to make my PC ready for it. If they've got the engine right this time then it could be awesome. The engine for GTA IV was garbage and was never fixed (Still bought the DLC though) so I hope it's better this time.
I want to be positive, tell myself the way the API's on the next-gen consoles better suit PC cross pollination and even if it sucks a bit it will get better. Then they can port Red Dead Redemption to the new engine for PC.

Would you buy it here or not https://www.g2a.com/grand-theft-auto-v-preorder-eu.html? or wait for another site preorder? because if Rockstar directly says same as Nuuvem said, they can just up the prices on g2a. And on other websites it will be more expensive.

I'd stay the fuck away from any site that offers a preorder on something before that thing has been officially confirmed to exist.

They still have Watch_Dogs on pre-order, so timing isn't important for them. I know this thread is about GTAV but I have to wonder if Ubisoft was able to optimize the game on the PC so that the system requirements could be lowered. Heh I met them, but barely and I don't really feel like upgrading right now (aside from missing an SSD drive my gaming rig is still pretty tops and can play almost everything with "Extreme" settings).

I'll still enjoy it, but actually a lot of reviewers were talking about how things get old quickly (I think this was mostly in regard to multiplayer, which had a ton of problems the first few weeks). I'll probably pick it up during the Steam Summer Sale =).

GTA multiplayer is much like Just Cause 2 multiplayer. Players randomly shooting each other on the street. When I tried it (my bro has it on PS3), there weren't that many people playing either. This was back when it was released, not sure how it is now. They patched a lot since then I believe.

why did I click on this? it looks great but too expensive for me...

I lost interest on GTA when i played 4, didn`t like it. i will check it out when it is finally on PC and i know how both perfomance and enjoyment seems people to have about it.

becasue it isn't. simple. rockstar would of already put it up for pre-sale to see the interest. considering gta 5 was the bigest selling pile fo shit console game ever made why would they even bother with pc version claiming 3/4 of there profit goes to pirates when the console version is 100x easier to pirate. it doesnt make sence. chewbacka defense incomming yo

Same thing can be said about GTA IV. It topped mostly everywhere when it came out, but around 4 months after, a PC version was announced. Most likely, the same thing will happen here. Rockstar hasn't left the PC platform, and they showed it by releasing big titles such as L.A. Noire and Max Payne 3. It's just that they want people to think like you, that there won't be a PC release so you buy it for consoles, and afterwards double-dip on it.

yes i would like to dream about it coming to pc, they annoucned gta 4 was coming to pc after console was released, this hasent happened with 5. i hope im wrong and im not lowering myself to the retarded shit that is a console user. id rather not have it at all then play it on a 10 year old doorstop

[...] im not lowering myself to the retarded shit that is a console user [...]
That right there made you earn a special tag from me. Congratulations.
Back on topic, all previous GTA games have come to PC after they got released on consoles, in some cases years later but they did come. What makes you think Rockstar would not do the same to their best seller in such a huge platform as PC?
You sound like someone who is butthurt because it came on consoles first instead of PC.

Why would they do this, I mean.. why wait this long if it's all true.. I know about the..
quote from Gandhax: "It's just that they want people to think like you, that there won't be a PC release so you buy it for consoles, and afterwards double-dip on it."
But it's really kinda odd that they waited that much, if it was made for PC at first..

I loved GTA IV's story, gameplay, and missions. I did not love GTA IV's PC port. In fact, no one did, because it was the biggest piece of garbage Rockstar has produced in a very good many years.
I'm still not sold on GTA V's story, mechanics, and so forth, but even if I was, I'll get excited about it's PC port once it proves it's not a steaming pile of manure.

I hope GTA V will be that good optimized as Max Payne 3 was. Really one of the best optimization! I think Rockstar made some conclusions about bad GTA IV port and making games using new way of dev process, like they did with Max Payne 3, because Max was kind of "testing platform" in every aspects :)

Unpublished interview with Nuuvem's CEO brings another date about GTA 5 PC release - March 2014, either 12th or 18th.
Linky to google translate.
Who is still hyped and who - thanks to various spoilers in various comments - already knows way too much to have any fun from discovering it?
