"Don’t worry, you’ll get your NinjaKrowns back, minus the amount you used to unlock the bid."
ROFL - yeah, dont worry, you will lose "only" eg. 400 NK for unlocking Fallout 3 <facepalm>
good joke

well, with those crazy high bids it looks I cant afford games I want anyway
bidding would be wasting NK

And each week "prices" will be higher and higher because many people don't join any bids when they see "prices" as 1200+.
Eg. I have 1100 so I even can't join bid for NieR becuase 1st is now 1275. Yes maybe 2rd is "only" 1000 so I have chance but if not I will lose 75 just for unlock.

You know, I just came to the realization that this might not work out well anyway. We have hundreds of thousands of users, all making the same top bids and only three winners. The odds of winning there are still astronomically low.

Likewise, but maybe we just need to wait a bit longer. It's only been 5 minutes for me though.
Edit : Got my key, activated it. After 4 weeks finally got something their site :D

Love how you created an account just to boost about winning lol :P
Which place where you? Did you get a notification tgat you were outbid at any point and needed to increase or not?
Comment has been collapsed.
A "fake account" that was made prior to this event ever taking place, with 1,000+ games in it's account (with obvious signs of real activity) and despite plenty of people saying the exact same thing he is anyway (because they're actually giving away games).

lol, Eternal Step went from 200>250 and then some moron increased it to 810.
Edit:
810 g@g2019-07-12 16:53:48
250 r@g2019-07-12 16:53:34
201 3@g2019-07-12 16:50:33
haha, talk about wasteful spending.

Im guessing that person was probably trying to get others to over bid them, it seems it backfired badly

If you loose a bid you get your crowns back. Except the unlock bid.

We are the bots, who have been hoarding points trust me.
One possibility, many people use their coins bidding and winning or not winning on unlocking bids, and you have a better chance.
Second possibility, others don't bid if they don't have enough and wait and just accumulate more points like yourself, but maybe they have more already and it's the same thing again. (Someone commented with 1100 for example that he isn't taking chances)

I have 1350 coins because I couldn't get a thing since this krown thing started. But even for me having this amount the bids are high. If someone is willing to throw away that much coins he really wants the game so hard or has multiple accounts with the same amount of coins. What do you think is more likely?
Comment has been collapsed.
What are you complaining about then? You can easily get Bayonetta, Nier, Doom etc, with that. Yes these are people who really want the game, of course they will bid everything on it. If you think it's too high and don't want them for that much don't bid. What are you expecting to get 2 or more good games with saved up coins for weeks? This way your coins will only go to loss.

What I mean is that giving the coins it took me weeks to get is kinda hard and people are bidding like really high from the very start of the hour so I'm assuming they don't give a crap since they have a lot of coins/accounts. I already have DOOM and Bayonetta, I hope I'll get Nier but looking at previous winners it doesn't seem like I could get it "easily". Maybe if bids even started kinda low I'll be willing to believe it is regular people with one account.
But whatever, I'll try to get it and hope for the best, I guess

Lets take a look at the winners....

um... it's just for reference, they are protecting their users email accounts... i was on the list when I won civ4, ofc I dont want my email made public - but it is all legitimate from what I can see... 4 stars = anything, it's a privacy placeholder.

even if u had 9 out of 10 letters wouldnt mean much to any user - not that it matters anyway, the top 3 bids win regardless if it's a real account or a bot - so it's there for transparency and for people to get the idea how popular certain games might be. all in all i think it's a nice feature they implemented and see no issue with how the emails are presented.

ebay works on the same principle. it's not about proof but some sort of transparency i tell you.

Yeah, but we've already seen a number of games finish up with huge differences between the 1st and 3rd.
Once people have paid that initial entry fee, they can bid a bunch of times if they want. Heck, there may even be people who bid 10, 20, 30, 40, etc just to run up the number of bids as an intimidation factor (make an auction look like there's more bidders / competition than there actually is) in hopes of scaring off other bidders.

Just a reminder for those who will complain about the new system because there is only 3 winners each rounds.
They already gave away thousands of keys and tried to get the system better every time the bots were getting the majority of them.
I bet the bid system is in testing for now, remember the very first week ? They did 2 hours then stopped, and then each week they introduced either protections or mechanics to make it more fair.
So, this week may be only 3 winners, but it may simply mean that it's to test how many people enter each giveaway, how high the bids can go, etc. to then adjust the amount of games and their unlock price depending on this weekend result.
Beside, don't forget those are free valuable games. If you don't get the one you want this week, you'll have more krowns to bid next week ,) !
Comment has been collapsed.
Important note. You will have more krowns only if you have not tried to unlock bids.

C**p I could have gotten For The King if I had known third bid was so low, oh well. Maybe I'll be able to get something else later.

960, you can see all the bid ammount winners on the bottom of the page.

You lucky son of a b***h, I'm adding you to my BL for that.
Jk :P Congrats dude 👍👏, and smart thinking and risking there bud.
I want Nier, Bayonetta and Life is Strange Before the Storm a bit more than that, but they were going pretty high, and LIS: Before the Storm is already 925 :(
