"When the timer reaches zero, the three gamers who bid the highest will get the game. In case of a draw, the bid placed first wins."
3 copies of each game no wonder nobody could get anything in the previous weeks if that's the amount they are putting out.

The thing I'm not entirely keen on is that there only really 3 keys per game. For example, if a bot bids the max amount of krowns immediately as the game goes up, they'll get the game. The persons or bots who bid first, second, third, then will get the game.

How ironic. I suggested the raffle/auction style here a couple of weeks ago. And here they used it. I know it wasn't because of me, I just find it ironic.

Surely this will make things worse? I'm sure bots can still be modified to bid, and this will just favour multi accounts - which most likely are bots in the first place! Unless they're hoping it gets out of control and they lose their stockpiled thousands of coins week 1 and we all get a chance week 2.
How can they say timing doesn't really matter either? Sniping bids at the last minute will be very important. The person winning 30 seconds from the end is unlikely to get anything.

1 First, choose which game(s) you’d like to bid for and unlock individual bids for a small amount of NinjaKrowns.
2 Then, choose the amount of NinjaKrowns you’d like put up for each title.
3 When the timer reaches zero, the three gamers who bid the highest will get the game. In case of a draw, the bid placed first wins.
4 If you make a bid and someone tops it, you can always put up additional NinjaKrowns.
4 is interesting.
Also, they need to stop multi-accounters. But multis also have multiple steam accounts, so cannot be easily stopped.

So they basically went from being possible to get one free game, every hour, for the entire weekend to maybe, possibly getting the chance of a free game across multiple weeks of daily points hoarding, with a guaranteed way to burn through your NJKs even if you get nothing in return.
And all of that instead of adding a basic captcha per each buy button with simple server side validation of the captcha code to belong to that buy button for that round. A 15 minute job to get rid of the problem and the bots.
At least they admit they only have 3 keys per game, per round which is believable and sustainable as a way of spending some of their marketing funds.

Even Google Recaptcha3 could be bypassed, but at least not all bots are smart enough to bypass it.
Why just don’t make some quiz about certain game you’re trying to get?
15 questions, and time limit for each question 10 seconds to avoid googling.
And 3 winners (random.org in case of >3).
Then apply same system, that each entry costs same price as it was before, like Mortal Kombat X - 450 points.
But make a penalty for those who scored less than half, and half of questions should be really easy like:
“Come over...”
A. There
B. Here
C. Somewhere
D. I am stupid bot

With 3 keys per game not even the best captcha in the world would make any difference :). That would have been useful in the context of those 25000 keys they claimed to have given, although that number was suspiciously high to be sustainable from a business perspective.

oh come one, there were so many crappy games with almost no value at all, and just in case you missed that, but they make enough profit a year to compensate ~25k keys.

I still think the raffle system is better.
TLDR:you bet your krowns and highest bidders get the game.

Aside from krowns required to unlock bid, you will get back your krowns from bids you lose.
But won't multiple bots accounts have higher chance? They have most likely more krowns than normal user not mention with multiple accounts they can probably bid for every game...
It doesn't really solve the core problem of bots, may be slow internet connection but not with bot. Well, we will see how this turns out.

I highly doubt I can get anything good with just 650 coins in this bidding system, but we will see. I managed to get something every single week, so I can't complain if I get nothing now.
EDIT: "3 highest bidders win the game" xDDDD we finally see how many keys per game they gave away I guess
Also, unlocking bids is non-refundable ? The way I understand it is you only get refunded the coins you bid. Unlocking a bid is not bidding. I'm staying away from this.

It might also prevent people from bidding on that one game they really want.
For example: if you only have 600 njk & the unlock fee is 200, you only have 400 left to actually bid with. Good chance someone else is gonna out bid you. Then... not only are you not getting the game, you're also out 200 njk so next round, you only have 400 to work with.

Yes, and apparently some preorder stuff (wallpapers, I think, and some skins? Maybe not the skins but the wallpapers, for sure) that the Day One version isn't able to get.
...and thus this fact takes me out of the running on the Crazy Free Weekend NieR sweepstakes.
It would've been my #1 target otherwise!
