I dont think that CG has any plans in changing the system again any time soon.

You can always hide your giveaways behind sgtools with your own custom rule like "at least 50% of giveaways should be public"

WANT
MAKE IT HAPPEN!
this is the quality content we need to fund...
I'm always at 500p anyways this is a beautiful idea

Actually, that's a pretty cool concept. It'd make for a great point sink, at no harm to overall site balance, which helps benefit the entrants who only enter for a small subset of games [I can see many choosing a guaranteed cosmetic over a chance at a game they don't especially want]. Even just a single "sticker bar" placed just above the giveaway lists on the profile would be enough to give plenty of cosmetic options- could even give patreons permanently unlocked exclusive stickers per month of participation, to encourage/reward lengthy subscriptions.

Well I don't, and I have seniority, so there you go.

i have mixed feelings about this. in one hand i like that generous people should have a reward for their generosity but on the other hand i dont like that people kind of get a disadvantage or even being pressurized to make more giveaways to have the equal right. it could easily turn into a competition. that is my and i`s opinion. O_O

It's a no from me. I strongly believe that the number of giveaways one can enter should be the same for everyone, regardless of their contributions to the community. To me, this is similar to saying "we should be able to pay real money to buy points/entries", and not the path I'd like to see SG go towards.
Contribution levels already separate us, to a certain extent. I allow it because it's a well implemented feature - whether or not a giveaway is level restricted is up to the giveaway creator, and not decided by the website. It's still an unfair advantage over the regular user, but even I'm guilty of setting level restriction on my giveaways (in order to eliminate the odds of needing to request numerous re-rolls). But that's where I draw the line. Points shouldn't be trifled with, and should be equal for every user.

I had some arguments, but oh, well, just no, that's just bad. (Politely)

Nice ;)
And why not, a maximum point according to the level of contribution.
lvl 0 - 300 points
lvl 1 - 325
lvl 2 - 375
....
This would contribute to more gift and contributor can be.

Majority have lvl 0 and profite the gifts :/
Personally my gifts will be reserved for lvl 1 minimum.
Then 500 points or not !
But Thank you :)

High level users already get rising benefits- after a point, these don't necessarily balance out against investment, but then, the point of raising levels has always been indicated to be based within recognition rather than an imbalanced increase in reward. As far as benefits, we already get plenty.
Level isn't a straightforward indication of generosity. Plenty of people abuse CV to rack up levels, from begging developers for keys, to manipulating developers, to spamming their own trashware games, to spamming CV-farming tier 1 bundles that give dramatic CV benefits over other giveaways. Implementing this kind of structure would amplify all the worst elements of the site: It'd encourage the worst users to exploit the site more, and it'd benefit the "enter everything" users rather than the "enter carefully" users- meaning it'd only benefit the least favorable of high level users. In short, high level users would become pretty undesirable to give games away to.
Changing fundamental site design to favor imbalances dramatically shifts the site's social and mechanical structures. There's absolutely no reason to do this when the alternative option (used by most other lottery sites) of just adding more options for how GA creators can structure their giveaways is also available. SG has always been a site offering a certain degree of freedom of usage, there's absolutely no reason to shift away from that.
P.P.S. You know, before when the new bundle came out with "The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut" which is 45 points I was like "Damn, out of points already, this system sucks"
Average entry count seems to have dropped significantly, which is an understandable and predictable side-effect of the new system. The new system doesn't suck in any sense- to the contrary, it should give you much higher odds on the giveaways you DO enter, and by pushing people away from the 'enter everything' mentality, your overall entry-to-entry-count ratio should actually be noticably improved compared to before.
Likewise, increasing your total points doesn't necessarily improve your odds to win, it just improves your odds to win something. Again, that's not an especially favorable direction to go, even if you do believe the site could benefit from more significant contribution benefits.

just like what Yirg said above, this could be a nice incentive for people to create giveaways
nice idea~
although my personal opinion is still a no no because, well, since I think this site's main goal is to create a community where people give and take responsibly
creating such advantage for higher level simply means people who give more in this case has the advantage in terms of material, like money, to provide the GA (unless you are a developer which usually don't enter giveaways anyway) will statistically win more giveaway
which is not bad, but this situation might create a competitive environment for people to reach higher level for the sake of winning more game (and some of them will eventually be a leecher)
steamgifts as of today is good enough imho, with the CV only act as a way to restrict how many people can enter the giveaway that one creates
this clearly is a disadvantage for people who can't create GAs for various reason so they stay at lower level, but in the end I think it's fair enough to think that people who gave more is welcome to more giveaways without having other advantages
this is based on my opinion though, what do you think?
