Was looking at NFL games myself a few months back. I think the best you can do in terms of being up to date is getting Madden 08 and modding it with the current player rosters etc. As far as I can tell there's still an active comminity that do all that stuff.

Edit: I can see NHL 09 on Origin.

Thanks.
I am not so interested in updated rosters, as I am not familiar with the clubs and names, just wanna have good time in the game ;D.
I do know there are old versions of NFL and NHL, as you stated, but I did look forward to try some new ones.

I think the best you can do is Madden 08 on PC. There's mods to update it (to a degree). Here's a video of the most recently completed one for 2014 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1S1zslLrTN0). Granted Madden 08 on PC is essentially a port of the PS2 '07 game, so there are some limits to how much can be updated, but they've worked hard at it.

nba 2k16 on wii. ok maybe not 2k16 but give it another 10 or so years and we'll probably be able to play team sports games with VR gadgets. Too bad im gonna be too old to be any good at sports games by then though.... and that makes me sad.
and now im a sad turtle
why bring this topic at all, i blame you yuvy.

Hey guys,
As a child, I liked playing EA's NFL/NHL games. Although I didn't really know the rules of the games, or had a club I love(we don't have these games here), I just liked sport-team-games.
I love Fifa, and 2k basketball, and I saw that NHL/NFL are none-PC.
So, I wanted to ask you guys:
Is there a way I could play these games with my PC?
Are there other sports I should consider? or maybe good PC alternatives to NFL and NHL games?
Thank you guys for helping :)
