Do you buy gaming keyboards, headsets or gaming mice?

if yes,

what brands

how long do they usually last for you

how much did you spend on them

if not,

why not?

EDIT: I am currently using a Roccat Isku Illuminated Keyboard and a Razer Taipan (8200 dpi --> mostly plat at 3500-5600 though)

I have a mad catz cyborg rat 9 and it worth every cent I've spent. It is fully customizable, amazing dpi, a good number of programable buttons, aim button... For me its the best mouse and you can configure it for some softwares like photoshop.

Got Steelseries 6g red edition keyboard (130$), Steelseries 7H V2 headset (157$) and a Logitech G400 (~55$) mouse. I love them and doesn't smash them so they'll probably last a while (already a year old). Notice though that i'm Swedish and 100 dollar isn't really worth a whole lot here..

Keyboard: Built-in, using a laptop.

Headset: Creative Fatal1ty. Very good considering the price (44.99$)

Mouse: Logitech M505 (wireless). Nothing fancy, no extra buttons or customization but batteries last for 1 year-ish. (22.75$)

Prices are from US Amazon FIY.

Nah. All my peripherals are standard Microsoft products. Not saying "gaming" peripherals are bad... I've tried a few different things that worked great, but they never seem to last very long before something gives out. Logitech keyboard/mouse combo, died after like 6 months. A razer mouse that stopped working after about 9 months. They worked great, while they actually worked, but definitely not worth it on a cost-to-lifespan basis.

I have had a cheap $35 Microsoft lifechat LX3000 headset and a Microsoft wireless laser desktop mouse/keyboard combo that I paid I think $75 for. They have been running strong for I think 8 years now with zero issues. I know there are people out there who are all like "hurr-duur gaming with wireless mouse/keyboard is for noobs" but they're just stupid and uninformed. I've never had any issues with accuracy or with response time on either the wireless mouse or keyboard. And they run on 2 AA batteries that last for like 5 or 6 months before needing to be changed.

Have a Logitech G510, got it for $80 and was kind of a waste since working widgets for it are pretty much non existent and i never use the gkeys. Also have a Razer Naga mouse which i also got for $80 and it is by far the best mouse i have purchased and is the main reason i don't use my keyboard's gkeys. Have a Logitech g5 mouse that i got for about $50 like 4 years ago and that thing still works great, figured i would get a new mouse when i decided to finally replace my crappy hp keyboard from like 6 years ago lol.

As for headset, i have an Arctic Sound P531 headset for about $80 bucks a little over a year ago and it is well worth the money. My keyboard and mouse i only got a few months ago so can't really comment on how long they will last but my headset i got the same day Skyrim came out and it still works perfectly.

G15, 2+ years so far. I've been using Ergo 525 for ~4 years (every year bought a new one), but last year I got G400. As for headset, some SpeedLink Medusa or something, so far so good.

I'm currently using a Razer Blackwidow Stealth 2013 (too pricey for me, I didn't pay for it), and a Logitech G500 mouse. Love both of them.

I had a Logitech G510 keyboard before this one, and I loved it for the eight months it lasted before failing outright...

I use an old as hell PS2 keyboard that came with a computer ages ago. Works fine for me :) I did go fancy for a gaming mouse at one point for the on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment (logitech G9?). And I won an expensive Sennheiser PC350 headset.

I've had a Death Adder for 2 years, Carcharias headset for the same. And just recently bought a black widow 2013 ultimate and am loving it so far.

Define gaming keyboard/headset/mouse. What makes them the best for gaming, as opposed to just 'the best'?

I like mechanical keyboards with individually backlit keys. Does that make them gaming keyboards? Are they often sold as such? Very often. But they're also superior for general office work.

I like mice with several extra buttons near the thumb, middle finger, and to the right of the right mouse button. While great for gaming, I also bind several commonly used applications to these buttons. Thus, they are also productivity mice.

Gaming headsets. Does this mean circumaural, with 7.1 surround sound? I watch movies and listen to music with these, and I love the sound quality. I can wear these for hours at a time with no discomfort from pressure or getting sweaty ears.

All of these are the best for gaming, but also the best I've had for productivity.

I spent 40-50 on my mouse, 70 on my headset, and 80 on my keyboard. All USD.

stuff that has gaming plastered all over it. I agree mechanical boards are superioir but I can't afford those.
I do like backlit keyboards with each key also lit individually.

my mouse is ambidextrious. 2 buttons on each side and 2 in the middle to chande dpi. but all can be configured.

I generally improve my productivity when working with PS and Illustrator etc.

Mouse - DeathAdder

Keyboard - Lycosa

Headphone - Alesanndro MS1i

Talking about headphone or any audio stuffs.
never ever get an audio stuff from ANY GAMING BRAND (Razer SS TT etc etc), their stuff is full of gimmicky stuff towarded for gamer.
if you want pick new headphone, i suggest you to get on from real audio brand, a brand that is experienced in audio, like Sennheiser ATH Alesanndro Grado Ultrasone etc etc.

my Alesanndro MS1i is 100$, this headphone, is sounds better, by A LOT if you compare it to those so called "Gaming" Headphones/sets which is priced at 150$ average.
infact, there is no such thing called "Gaming Headphone"

-A cheap mice that works perfectly.

I used to buy some expensive "gaming" products, but when my $60 dollar mice broke after a few months, I decided not to buy such things ever again.
So here I am, with my $10 mice, bought a year ago.

-A regular "Genius" keyboard.

-And a Gamescom headset

Logitech G400 Mouse - $30NZ, great mouse, even better considering the price.

Corsair Vengeance 1500 Headset - $110NZ, good quality sound and construction, perhaps a little more than I'd have liked to have spent, but I feel like I've got what I paid for.

Ducky DK9087 Mechanical Keyboard (Cherry MX Brown)- $100NZ, I really like the mechanical switches for typing, although I see little benefit in games. Mine's held up well, although I've heard of some other people having issues with reliability.

Logitech G27 Wheel - $275NZ, A must buy if you're into racing games, probably the best bang-for-buck wheel around.

I only buy such things when I need a new one. I don't go for flashy but functional and comfort.

What I use now
MS Sidewinder X6 keyboard - good programmability, detachable numpad is handy, media keys, illumination
Logitech MX518 mouse - nice and simple, I never go with wireless mice anymore as they're not worth the hassle
Roccat Kave Headset - totally regret getting this. It's way too heavy to wear comfortably for more than 30 minutes. Plus in retrospect Roccat seem to go for form before function.
NaturalPoint TrackIR - These things are damn expensive but so worth it. Racing and flight games are awesome when you can simulate head movement.
Other than that, some sennheiser wireless headphones, some cheap 2.1 speakers

I've got at least 3 pretty cool peripherals, and I got em for free! Can't imagine my life without them.

Left hand = it's great at reaching up to 20 keys with only 5 fingers! WHOA!

Right hand = mouse button masher numero uno!

Eyes = best for 3D gaming

Beat me! :P

Yes...
Keyboards : Razer Arctosa
Mice : Razer Deathadder
Headset : Razer Carcharias

it's been good for about 2 year for my mice n Keyboard and about 4 months or more for my headset xD

it cost about 180$ for all of em....
well basically Razer mouse got the left click problem(the double click thingy) after 6-9 months of using but u can claim your warranty or you can just open your mouse and clean the inside of your mouse which will make it back to normal if your warranty is expired or gone :P

I don't get why you would buy the arctosa.
only reason why I considered my Isku was because of the backlit keys and antighosting on the most important parts
