Guild Wars 1 or Guild Wars 2

I recommend you to wait for Guild Wars 2 to come out. You will be able to pre-purchase it on April 10th, and you could play in all the beta weekends and have a 3-day headstart on release.

Hi I'm new to this franchise too ^^
I also want to choice if buy GW trilogy and Eye of the North or wait until GW2 =s, my main reason for this is for the hall of monuments =P, well, I'll wait if they say the release date(not now, april's fool xD) but might say it before April 10th if we will wait a few months xD
Anyways but if GW1 will be on sales I'll buy it

I'd say wait for GW2, that's what I'm doing.
I have played GW1 for a bit but stopped once my friends have, since they have already been playing for a quite a while.

You can get 1 and wait for 2. GW is not like other MMO you can join it now and after 2 weeks have gear and character similar to best players (your skill is not included ;) ). If you like co-op (campaign) and MOBA-like (multi) games you can try it.

tbh ... w8 for gw2 ... ure gonna love it , i've tried beta... awesome stuff

Wait for second game.First and Second one is quite different in gameplay.Only thing they are similar is both are using the same lore

I say get the first, so much content in the complete version, by the time you get done with it Guildwars 2 will probably be cheaper.

Wait Guild Wars 2 ! Everyone will move to the second GW. And there aren't so many ppl on the first GW.
