And I'm back! After a good night's rest(finished this at like 5:30am >w<) it's time for a proper post.
First of all an
for making this idea a reality. The game selection was amazing and kudos again to all!
Also lemme say i'm impressed with all the work Kerros put into this, this must have been a daunting task. I like the concept you thought of but there's certainly room for improvement imo(I'll leave suggestions below)
Now despite all that, unfortunately it was not a fun event for me. I really wanted to like it but I couldn't. I found it extremely tedious and at times I felt like I wanna murder someone...
In short it was a jrpg grind, only even less fun. But I'm a self-loathing piece of shit so I had to get that Hall of Fame mention. Once again I understand you put much effort into this and I appreciate that, I'm not saying any of this to be a jerk, but a lot of these events tend to become recurring so I feel it's important to provide honest feedback on them, at least that's what I'd want if it were me.
Below are a few ideas and suggestions I feel would make this more enjoyable if it were to be organised again in the future:
-First of all I'll never understand the idea of fun in a brute forcing kind of event. I'd add some way to suggest the right clicky or at least the general area it is in, not something super obvious but enough to have a few people narrow it down, if not on all levels then a good chunk of them. That could be done in a number of ways but the one I favor is my next suggestion.
-Variety. It was fun doing a few floors, or discovering news ways of progressing after certain levels but the vast majority was a repeat of the previous ones making it a chore fast. The few times I entered a floor where even the "clicky" format was different(the ascii art ones) was a fresh breath of air. And that's how you could also add hints, by making each level unique in the clicking format, ideally in ascii art, adding a small hint indicating a specific area of the "picture". Nothing too obvious.
-Actually making it a maze. A maze is not created for linear progression, that's tower climbing in gaming terms. For it to actually be a maze I'd add various paths to each floor, like floor 18 for example links to floor 7, floor15, floor 39 and floor 63 at the same time, with 7 and 15 not necessarily linked before. Which path of those will be taken first will be up to the user and it'll not always lead to the exit, some will be looping, some will be dead ends etc. It'll make it easier for people to find a majority of giveaways while at the same time make it harder to find them all. Now that's gonna be much tougher to design but I believe it will add tremendously to the enjoyment value.
That's all i can think of now, if anything else comes to me I'll just add it later. I really feel it's an idea with a lot of potential and i'm happy to see others enjoying it!
I'm really looking forward to see how this evolves!
Also I so regret not volunteering now ;-; Oh well, next time

Bump for completion. Thanks to everyone involved for at least a moderately enjoyable experience with great giveaways top to bottom. I felt so dumb for so long at 50 and there was a pretty odd spike in difficulty in the 60-70 range but aside from that, well done.

I did it. I did the thing. Thanks for the event. The level requirements were annoying though. Like, you go through all that effort, and you can't even join because of level restrictions. Llvl1 is fine to avoid leaking to new accounts, but any higher isn't nice.

100% agree, 5+ were like: yeah. you did it. now go and make a sandwich, there is nothing for you.

I had to decide yesterday to either finish the labyrinth as one of the first or continue playing Tomoyo After.
It was fun nevertheless, congratulations to everyone who made it to the end. ^^

Bump this thread so more can see it please!
Time for:
100 GIVEAWAYS!!!
Now it's not as EASY as all that however. I've invented a fun little labyrinth so you have to WORK to get the "great" ones. The lowest levels are generally not bad but not the best, and the higher you go, the better the giveaways become.
So in general all you have to do is click on the correct link and you'll move on to the next one. Simple!
Except it would be if I didn't make 99 of those links fake....... on each giveaway
So just go as far as you can! This will last for 2 weeks, so take your time (but don't take too long).
There are a few "inns" at each area that have are a resting point for conversation so feel free to talk to others there if your feeling tired. I also enjoy reading various posts from people so I also encourage it :3
The ones who see this through to the end will get some very lovely giveaways
I hope you all enjoy the invention and play it!
Please however don't post any links to various random spots HERE or anywhere else. If people want it, they gotta work for it.
If you manage to get to the end level 100, then at prompting, i will create a hall of fame for those who have (if they want).
Don't Post any method regarding how your getting past the labyrinth till the end
If there is an issue/problem regarding a link not being there, please post it on the gib and i'll get it fixed ASAP
I encourage everyone to leave a nice comment on the gibs as this wouldn't have been possible without the volunteers.
