Damn, that's a lot of people. Thanks for the train!

I rarely write thanks unless the description says so (or says to do something else). I thought that would maybe get me on someone's blacklist, but I still haven't encountered any.
It's not like I'm trying to get on someone's blacklist, though :D

You've been really busy with testing the blacklist feature I see... :D Thanks for the train!

but he gives away games that are actually worth something, like GRID Autosport, Shadow of Mordor and The Evil Within. you can do whatever you want. and i am probably complaining too much in here (you probably blacklisted me by now ^^). but in my opinion this guy doesn't deserve to be on a blacklist. he gave away so many more games than you. and they were good games. expensive games. you seem to give away only worthless bundle games and 20 cents games.
this is a prime example why the blacklist feature isn't that good.

Then maby you should take use of your whitelist. IMHO it´s no real reason to blacklist someone, because he wins games on this site. Don´t get me wrong, i am fine with your decision to blacklist me and 999 other people, but i am using my blacklist for people who break the rules.
Oh, and you can win my games, just join my groups or get on my whitelist by being nice :-)
Still, thanks for your train and good luck.

"You do not have permission to view this giveaway, since you've been blacklisted by the giveaway creator."
I don't fit in any of these: "people giving away free games, regifting or making fake giveaways."
So, may I know why I'm in your list? Thank you.

I respect your decision. But, in my opinion, it's unfair. I used to have more gifts sent than won, but that was before Steam locked every gift. Also, my financial status actually don't let me to contribute as I used to do. Every day my wage is even less due to government policies and hyperinflation. Yeah, go ahead and research about Venezuela and his foreign currency policy.

When I read this thread, I am thinking: Is "xx more games won than given" a good reason to blacklist someone?
In my opinion it's kinda unfair. In this community every giveaway is voluntary. When you create a giveaway you shouldn't ask anything in return. And we all create giveaways according to our own ability to afford them. Some of us might be more willing to give, then they giveaway more, and they feel happy doing this. While others may be less wealthy, then they giveaway less, and they enjoy being part of this community as well. As long as they don't regift or trade, it's ok to me. We cannot exclude them from this community simply because they created less giveaways than the average level.
I joined this site recently, and I pretty much enjoy this community, not only when I win giveaways, but also when I create my own giveaways. (To be honest, I haven't created any big giveaway myself, which I am planning) So I really don't want this site to become competitive, or hostile. Just saying my personal opinion though, please feel free to preserve your own opinion.

He actually appears to be well ahead in terms of real CV, which is how Steamgifts calculates levels etc.

He's mostly given away non-bundled games, and the vast majority of his wins were from bundles. There's different ways of measuring stuff and that baseline figure on profiles can be misleading.

a little less when you figure out "Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Dark" for which he has 11 copies accounting for almost $75 of his cv. The lowest price on steam was 0.39
Also, his 5 copies of War Operations accounting for $20 of his CV. Cheapest price on Steam was 0.39
It looks like he buys all the games that go on sale 90%+ in bulk and puts them on Steamgifts
