Tier 1, here I come! Leave some Steam keys for me, erryone!
Time to gulp down a big sip of Deep Silver and buy the BTA!
Yes, I would like fries with that! Tier 3!
I'm clinically insane, Tier 4!
Perhaps I might chip in, Saints Row is such a nice series.
More like the Humble Repetition Bundle :\
No Humble, No Cry. Tier 0.

I paid BTA because is freaking ridiculous price! And because have 3 wishlist games. Duh!

There is no deal. You pay for tier 3 15€ thats a deal but Agents of Mayhem costs in steam 60€ so you pay the full price if you pay 75€ for the whole bundle. So there is no deal.

For me Agents of Mayhem is 59.99€ on Steam. Tier 3 is 12.88€ and tier 4 is 64.39€. So I would save 8.48€ (~14%).

Not looking forward to more region restricted rerolls though, I hate having to disappoint people with these :/

Is there something changed because isn't it so that when you make a giveaway for example with a EU key and you post clearly in the giveaway description that it's an EU key and the winner is not from EU region that you get a re-roll.?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

That only works in groups where you can expect people to read the descriptions and otherwise cut them into tiny little pieces as punishment. For public GAs you are obliged to provide a key that can be activated by the winner.
Descriptions of who may join a public GA are not binding to entrants.

Hm. Now I feel bad for getting another bundle for base Risen 3 few months ago. Now it's complete edition. Eh. EH. At least it is in tier1. As for other games it would be nice to play Gat out of hell but i doubt buying bta just for this game is a good idea so. Probably tier1. Later. Yes. @_@
By the way - Saints Row 2 is the best entry in the series~! Yes.

I bought it with the hefty discount and afterwards forgot the DEs even exist. Did the DE even add anything noteworthy?
('they were going' implies to me that you say they did not)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Indeed they did, but for some reason only for a short time and as I'm usually procrastinating with everything....

I can't remember but I'd imagine it was just an engine update/refresh with some added graphics and maybe a couple of updated models. Something you'd expect in a patch prior to the Definitive and Special Edition hysteria. Thinking about this makes me feel even better about my decision to buy a crapload of Bethesda games recently mostly because I like what they did with DOOM as they also did "the right thing" with their Skyrim SE. I may be incredibly uninformed but to me, at this point, they feel like comparable upgrades with the possible edge to Skyrim since they updated it to a 64-bit engine which runs and handles mods a lot better.

Permalink

they really should swap Gat Out of Hell with SR4, and SR3 Full Package is a bad excuse for $15

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I enjoyed the first homefront when I had it on console, so if I would get this bundle I would probably just buy the tier 1, no use getting tier 2+ since I own most of the Saints Row series (skipped IV and Gat out of hell, since i wasn't big on direction the later games were taking) and I heard horrible things about the new homefront game.

Unless the next week unlocks have something that I am interested in, I will either pass (and just trade for homefront) or just buy the 1$ tier.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Just wondering, how can you tell if a bundle is region-locked or not? I can't seem to find the info on the page

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Unfortunately, Humble Bundle doesn't warn about region locks (they assume that the keys are for yourself and will be activated on your account). You can tell only by activating the keys...

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

They also assume that you don't use a proxy... Although the proxy I use is in my country and somehow the keys I got were still f***ed up :s

Still, I was curious because I saw you mentioned the region lock in the initial post, like 2 minutes after bundle release. That was pretty fast testing ^^

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

They don't allow to upgrade the purchase? O_o
Well I cought it at $4.03 and I'm willing to pay that for Mighty N. 9 and Gat out of Hell, but just in case I'll see if it drops a little more before pulling the trigger.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Same thing here. Hopefully it's a site error and will be fixed soon. I'll wait a while and if it doesn't get fixed, I might have to buy it again with a higher BTA.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I actually had the luck of reading the warning here before buying, I was about to buy the tier 1 and the add more out of habit, I guess I dodged the bullet.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah, I just read some comments above and it seems to be a publisher thing. I bought it twice, wish I could giveaway some doubles, but the region restriction on some of the games is insane o_0. I don't even know what to check on region restriction here on steamgifts xD.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I remember I gave away a couple of leftovers from an earlier Deep Silver bundle and I was basically praying to the steam gods that they would actually work for the winners :P

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Not worth it. Already own tier 1 + everything I wanted from tier 2 and tier 3. Not that interested in Mighty No. 9 or
Homefront®: The Revolution Standard Edition enough to spend my money.
Also, Agents of Mayhem is one of the few games that are still being released and sold with a fair price in my country. For 75 dollars I can buy 2,5 copies of Agents of Mayhem here.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Dang region restrictions, a friend from Australia got me this, Saints Row 2 can't be redeemed in Germany (fair enough) but can't even redeem Risen 3 and Deadlight. Only Homefront worked. :x

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It is Deep Silver, they lock most of their new games in a strange fashion, where Europe is a separate and separated region; we cannot activate outside keys, at all. Not just in Germany.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Is that made clear somewhere before buying on the site or people just basically have to guess?
And if writing humble support would have a chance on getting replacement keys.

When i tried to unlock the 2 keys for Risen and Deadlight it said only available in NL but steam says it isn't.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Just have to know that Deep Silver is like that.
And no, they lock keys to the original buyer's region and they do not issue keys for specific regions, even if their price tag is the same or lower.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Okay thanks.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

people just basically have to guess?

Humble Bundles are sold for personal use of the buyer in their region. They don't care and have no motivation to support resale to other places, and such.

would have a chance on getting replacement keys.

A refund yes, replacement keys no.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's not really for reselling, and just a gift from one friend to the other.
Also it's really just a few, like apparently Deep Silver, and not something going out from Humble Bundle.
I had another bundle (Telltale and the one with Devil May Cry) gifted by someone else also from Australia and while there were some east european restrictions on Strider, i also had no problem redeeming the rest.

That makes it guessing, and confusing.

In addition to having the ability to increase payment amount being removed after making the purchase, I also see that one of my downloads has disappeared from my purchase page. I know that they sometimes ask to choose between Steam key or download version, but that wasn't the case here.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Already own anything I want on Humble or GOG.

Tier 4 is just dumb. Weirdest and probably pointless attempt at trying to gain exposure I have seen in a long while. Also, full price or no, putting an upcoming AAA game in a "bundle" can easily carry the "nobody is buying this, please anyone get it" vibe, even though most likely it will be a hit.
By the way, is there any reason Agents of Mayhem is not just Saints Row V? It is pretty much SRIV just set in Asia already. (Similarly how I still do not fully get why Bloodborne had to be its own separate thing when it had zero difference from any Dark Souls game, not even in aesthetics. I cannot see the purpose of recreating the same game with the same studio under a different name.)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I assume they wanted to rebrand the franchise after so many old fans of the series got annoyed by the change in direction. I didn't mind the changes, it actually gave the games an identity of their own, but I've seen a lot of people pissed by the Third but specially by IV and Gat out of Hell.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Well Agents is missing 2 key elements from Saints Row games : 1. Co-op 2. Character creator .

On the other hand Agents of mayhem seems to be a looter shooter.

Overall Volition is trying something new but I'm still not sure is it a good idea to add Saints Row characters to the character roosters in Agents but will see it myself once released.

Tier 4 is a joke. You pay 1 cent more than buying it directly!

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Unless you live in Europe. Then you get a €8.48 discount price based on price difference between tier 3 & 4.
Of course, that discount is negated because you need to shell out money for the rest of the bundle as well.

All the same: Never preorder.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

What mean you with that?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Tier 4 = €64.39
Tier 3 = €12.88

-> Difference is €51.51, so that's your effective price for the Agents of Mayhem preorder.
Store price for same preorder = €59.99.
So €59.99 - €51.51 = €8.48 discount.

Assuming that A) You're buying the rest of the bundle as well anyway and B) you're willing to pre-order (which you shouldn't be - it's still far too much money to throw at unproven, empty hype).

They'd have to remake Saints Row 1 for PC first, since that was an Xbox 360 exclusive.

I may be weird, but somehow I'd like to have good series complete on steam (even if it's unlikely that I'd play older SR1/2).

What sucks more is games that once were on Steam but not anymore like GTA1/2, Mafia 1, Wolfenstein 2009. and those all are way too expensive now.

The GOTC upgrade pack didn't include the stupid new http://store.steampowered.com/app/314580/Saints_Row_IV_Game_of_the_Century_Edition/ faux-DLC. It's painful store page bakin' decisions by Deep Silver.

Still not as stupid as the store pages of those old Telltale games though.

Check the Telltale thread with RaChart Enhancer.
Steam's API says I don't own Sam & Max: Season One, I don't own Sam & Max: Season Two, I don't own Sam & Max: Devil's Playhouse because they have dumb dummy store page apps.
Then on the Telltale Collection Steam bundle http://store.steampowered.com/bundle/383/Telltale_Collection/ they have super broken prices that are completely different in various regions. Each of the games inside the game packs is priced separately for that bundle. During the sale I calculated it for a few friends and there were regions where it was much cheaper to buy the single apps and others where it was much cheaper to buy them as part of the store bundle. It's just an awful mess.

Tier 3 is nice, but I feel like $15 for it is a bit steep considering most of the titles in that tier are rebundled or usually less than $3 each, and I'm not spending $15 for only Homefront: The Revolution when it went on sale for $7.50 this summer.
