I was planning on not buying any expensive games this year, except for Fallout 4. But that's still over two months away, and all of my current games don't feel fun to play anymore, probably because I'm too hyped.

Now I'm looking for something that will keep me busy for a while, and Mad Max and MGS V both seem like they could be played for a while. Both have 96% positive reviews on Steam, so it's difficult to choose. Which one do you think could be played for longer?

Edit: MGS V seems to be clearly more popular, so I'll be getting it.

I'd go with mgs, for personal taste

MGS does seem like fun, I've always liked stealth games. But I also like post-apocalyptic themes, and while I don't play many vehicle/melee combat games, Mad Max interests me as well. They seem pretty much equally good, I'm just worried that I'll buy one of them at full price and it feels too short.

Can't say much about MGS: V, but as you mentioned, that you can't buy somethign expensive, maybe you want to go with mad max, as you can get it a lot cheaper. On the other hand, it's stioll an openworld post-apocalyptic game and you may loose your hype for fallout during those months :>

10€ isn't a big difference. But yeah, it's a good point that I might feel different about FO4 if I've played another post-apocalyptic game to full/near full completion right before it.

Mad Max is really cheap at some other places:

or if you can live with an unautherized seller:

Why is The Witcher 3 not an option? You can kill 2 weeks with it easily

If you have played the previous titles of the MG saga there is no choice: Go for MGS V. But I guess (and tell me if I'm wrong) that this is not the case. So I think Mad Max would be more suitable as it seems like a really fun sandbox.

A sandbox quite literally. And well, I've played some of the MGS games, and watched playthroughs of the rest. Did you say that because it's kinda necessary to have played the previous games to understand the story?

I said because people who are into MG universe wouldn't have a doubt of wich game to buy xD (like me, but no money and too many backlog). Thats why I suggested MM wich seems a better choice for you (maybe)

It feels like I'm pretty much equally interested in both universes, and I'm having a lot of trouble choosing because of that as well. But I think I'll get MGS V, it seems to have more content.
