Its good to teach kids Magic: The Gathering, that way they wont spend money on drugs in the future, because they wont have it due to magic! For me, my father is visiting us, and he bring us churros and chocolate for breakfast! (nurse is going to kill me for skip lowfat meals)

Nice. I want that too.

Scared the hell (no pun intended) out of me. Was playing Dark Souls 2... again... when I got a random friend invite. Usually I never accept. Decided to check and saw that I was in 2 of the same groups. So I minimized DS 2 and checked this site. Lo and behold, I saw Spacecat. Not knowing what I won, I clicked on it and damn near had a heart attack, epileptic fit and aneurysm at the same time. I was screaming so loud my upstairs neighbors had to see if I was ok. :P
Needless to say I was excited. I NEVER win games that big.

And about Grim Dawn,if you have chance to buy it maybe on sale do it! I'd even go as far as saying that it is superior to Diablo. Which of course add me to 50 more blacklists but who cares.

Ironically, I hated the Diablo series, but I loved other games of that type like Torchlight's 1&2, Sacred 1&2, Titan Quest...
Actually, Grim Dawn was originally supposed to be the sequel to Titan Quest.

Welp it's way more like Diablo than it is like torchlight or titan quest but somehow i do not get bored of it . While i got bored by diablo and titan quest . Torchlight on the other hand is great as well.

A way to make TQ interesting again, if you didn;t do this yet, play as a single class only. No secondary. I'm doing that as a bow rogue class.

I didint check out that updated version yet actually. Does it improve game much?

Hermp. Might need to check it out again after i'm done with Grim Dawn. As well as reply Torchlight 2 . Grim Dawn managed to rekindle my love for the genre somehow:D

My sister's husband stopped by with my 8 year old niece and nephew today (twins), and I got big hugs from them. My sister passed away 2 years ago, so I don't see them as often as I'd like. Also, the way my dog greets me when I get home. But that's an every day thing. She's just awesome :3
Always wanted to get into MTG, just never have the time or patience to learn. :X

I just got out of bed a couple hours ago, so not much has happened yet. But the thing that always makes me smile is our puppy greeting me each morning. He's always so happy when I wake up / come home from something. :D
Thanks for reminding me I still have a bunch of MTG decks laying around. I really need to start playing it again.

old unopened MTG two player starter box
which starter box? not to be a party pooper, just curious if you opened up something that was worth several hundred bucks unopened xD lol
the elves vs goblins i got ~8years ago, last i looked just the elves side alone open and slightly used was worth like $89.00 :D
but yes, i did the same a cple years back, but kids got totally hooked into the game and wanted to play it over and over, made them their own decks so they could play together but they needed a game master 24/7 really for that one. great game for kids though. xD
happiness in last few days though, well kinda a mix of happy and sad. found a stray cat around my house, and its very scared of human contact. rather feral, but we've sat food out for it, and its starting to get used to us. so hoping there will be an addition to the family soon. wifes been asking for a cat for months and i kept saying no, but i can't turn away a cat in need, so.. ill deny if wife asks, but actually pretty happy to help a cat in need.

ahh yeah, the core's aren't. =) nice though.
this was the one i was referring too, still seems pretty costly to get. a friend and i both went in 1/2 & 1/2 in on that for only $10 each ($18.95+tax) xD he still has the goblin side, i still have the elves side :D lol
but ofc used and seperate they aren't worth nearly that ebay sale.

A few days ago I made a big purchase.
The next day I was going through some drawers, clearing old paperwork and I came across an old birthday envelope with almost the same amount in it :)
I know you said nothing that victimizes others but...

That's a smart kid in my books. Tried to teach someone in their late twenties how to play mtg, and she couldn't grasp it.

The step by step edition really helps, and we're using somewhat simplified rules. The Core Game decks come with only basic lands, creatures and sorceries. I added instants and creature enhancements from my older decks (and I guess I should also add the interrupts as instants, and brush up on the rules).
Anyway, yes, he's a smart kid. :)

Seeing this thread title on the GOG forum always made me appreciate the nice little things that happened to me, so I decided to post one here.
If anything nice happened to you over the past few days that you want to share, go ahead and post it. (But please don't post if the thing you liked is something bad happening to someone else.)
Me, it made me happy that my 6 year old loves Magic: The Gathering. We bought some Pokemon TCG cards for him because his friends have some, but there wasn't enough there for a game, and I had an old unopened MTG two player starter box, so told him it's similar and we played, and since then (Thursday) he wants to play it all the time.
