Thank you, how nice of you :)
I think I phrased my previous message a bit poorly.
I am glad of the fact that even though I'm alone I'm not feeling too much down :)
I didn't too a lot of work today but I connected with some friends back home, so all in all things are ok ^^

I've spend weeks collecting so many colored wheels, hats, decals, rare boost, etc, for my car on Rocket League.
And spending so much time mix and matching to try to get the perfect combination.
But today I took them all away, and I learned that the best look is to remove all those unnecessary accessories, and just drive a beautiful, simple, single colored car. It was such a deep experience.
... I... I t-think I learned a little bit about life :^) >smirks<

I had my birthday yesterday while abroad for the first time without my family or old friends, so the day before I was feeling a bit down. So my roommate did something awesome for me.
I invited some people over for dinner and after the pizzas he came out of his room with his present. He had bought a bath candle and carved my age and name on it, and put it on a doughnut as a birthday cake, and gave me a peeler as a birthday present (we had been wanting to buy one for like 2 weeks). It was the nicest thing I've seen a long time, it almost made me cry.
Afterwards while were cleaning up I was like:

I know the feel, had been two times in Erasmus and the second times caught my birthday. That night all my friends came with a cake singing happy birthday, awesome^^ It's a small thing but a strong one.

I suppose reading your little story was one of the things that made me smile the most.
Played MTG since the third edition until the 7th Edition. The only thing I don't really like, is the way they force you to buy the new decks. For example, implementing some new attack ways, which can only be blocked with cards from the same new booster set.
Just keep an eye on your little one. MTG can get quite expensive once you get competitive. As long as it is just for fun and easy going, simply enjoy the good time. Happy you found a nice hobby to share with your kid :)

At least you got the chance to prevent some ill thinking now. This might not be Pokemon, still the dark side that might pop up remains the same in every kind of collecting stuff. I wasn't implying that it is a bad thing to play MTG, just a thought that crossed my mind, when I thought of my kids playing those trading card games.
Possible side-effects aside, just enjoy it as long as it lasts :)
It's a great way to teach kids thinking ahead a few steps while having a lot of fun.
Just remembered a kind of handy way... if you are interested I can look up the ISBN of one of the MTG Card books I used. You can copy the pages and resize them to A3 in any copy shop and got the original size of the cards. Glue them onto a Land Card and you got your Black Lotus or a bunch of Moxes. As long as you don't play those in official matches, you are good to go. With card protectors you won't even notice the difference.

"We bought some Pokemon TCG cards for him" yesterday saw a tournament but can't understand anything, so just went to see other stuff, still i've many cards from the first generation and even today got one new since McDonalds is giving them.
Thing that recently made me happy was yesterday when i went to a anime convention. I don't talk a lot or buy stuff (just bought a playstation bracelet) but i love to see and participate in everything and feel the energy and motivation of everyone around me. I took a friend since i had won two tickets and he just felt bad when watching a tournament because we were the oldest in the room haha

I went out today, met up with a friend to join a community event, it's a classic gaming event like super mario and pacman on NES. it didn't turn out well because there are only few people attended, the ones that really liked retro games including me. They complimented me with my mario skills and we met new people who loves old games and also artists. I paid lunch for friend I went with me, and he paid for mine later(a good snack) and then I realized, oh it feels good to have a friend who doesn't just milk you but do the same as well, I know its a lot harder for him to spend money because he doesn't earn and much as I do. for me, it's the thought that really counts, and it's a big thing. this is something some people take for granted.

Nothing. I just woke up, showered, and nothing special has happened. My hand hurts and I barely ate any breakfast, so nothing very good there...
But the day is young. I'm about to play some more Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1, which is something to be happy about. :)

Found a fun moe anime to watch today, got hooked and can't stop watching (it has been a while since I watched an anime that was this fun). Won Deathtrap a couple of minutes ago, which is a game I've been interested in ever since it got released. Managed to ninja a key for Rune Classic from one steam group thread, which happens to be yet another game I am interested in.

Seeing this thread title on the GOG forum always made me appreciate the nice little things that happened to me, so I decided to post one here.
If anything nice happened to you over the past few days that you want to share, go ahead and post it. (But please don't post if the thing you liked is something bad happening to someone else.)
Me, it made me happy that my 6 year old loves Magic: The Gathering. We bought some Pokemon TCG cards for him because his friends have some, but there wasn't enough there for a game, and I had an old unopened MTG two player starter box, so told him it's similar and we played, and since then (Thursday) he wants to play it all the time.
