- Improve the game to either turn around bad reviews or attract good ones.
- Suck it up.

- developer gave away keys without any condition.
- developer politely asked to give positive review.
- user with vac ban don't even installed game and farmed its cards.
- user with vac ban came to review the developer, not the game.
as an user, I ask sorry to developer.
that is not even close medium user behavior.

By the same token, on Oct 14, 2014 you couldn't review a game without owning it.
Also - you can now delete items from your library.

You act like I'm defending the guy. I don't give two shits about his VAC ban, the bribes, or the reviews. You said he reviewed a game he didn't own, and I said it's possible. I don't decide who deletes what or why. Hell, there's probably someone out there who's deleted Fallout 4 by now. ;)

Not to put too fine a point on things (or drag this out and cause any ill will between you and I) , but the game's dev (MalboM) has been posting in this thread and hasn't claimed that anything the OP stated is untrue. He's only expressed his disappointment in the review.
You'd think if he didn't give the guy keys in exchange for a positive review, he'd have stepped right up and said so to save face.

I don't necessarily agree with everything the OP did (asking for upvotes on a review is certainly not acceptable), but IMHO what the developer did is far worse. He's allegedly asking people for positive reviews in exchange for keys. Others rely on those reviews for accuracy to make informed purchases.
It's also a flagrant abuse of Steam's review system, and can get the developer in some pretty serious trouble with Valve.
I do, however, think the OP did the right thing informing others about receiving keys in exchange for positive reviews. In that regard, I'd have done the same thing.

I don't really see that as a bribe, just a developer trying to get people to reveiw his game, He used some suggestion with the "Positive" review part, but it's not like he said.. "If you rate my game positively I'll give you free swags"
After you told him you posted positive review you told him about it and he decided to reward you with a free game in the future.. that's not a bribe, that's called a developer being appreciative of someone he thought was a fan of his game..

it's against the developers TOS? To give out a free copy of his game and ask for someone to review the game? He said positive sure, but again it's not like he was forcing the person to give a positive review or he would revoke the key or something... Just said. Color me purple but I'm seeing loads of developers giving out free copies of their games... like for instance... Dead Bits, Lucius, Two worlds, Two Worlds 2, Knight Shift, Particula, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc .... I guess all those developers violated the TOS for their games.. oh wait no they didn't, because you can give away as many free copies of your game as you darn well please and steam doesn't care... Steam doesn't want people to use game keys as a way of getting unearned greenlight yes votes..
I have a bigger issue with the fact that TC has vac bans in the past than I do the fact the developer tried to do a nice thing and this guy tried to slander them for simply asking the TC to leave a review behind. He said.. We're doing this so we can get great gamers for our game..

Again I'm not seeing a bribe here, I'm just seeing someone who wanted to use some flimsy evidence to slander a game developer trying to do something nice and drum up support for his game.
