I was playing Twilight Struggle a few times, and the game is great. It's intense, deep and oddly easy to grasp. So, Steamgifts, do you play boardgames? What are your favorite ones? Here, a ticket for a bundled train.

Do you even boardgame?

Videogames are boardgames without smelly people

If you mean actual tabletop one in their physical form, I like to play them but don't really have time or could find a group that has time to do them.
If you mean computer adaptations, I play some, but usually in single-player. My current favourite, despite the developers' attempts to ruin it with updates, is Ticket to Ride.

So i'm not the only one that doesn't really like the "New" update? It seems to play slower and AI strategy seems to be just have one computer player throw down all their tracks ASAP even if they go nowhere, just to end the game.

Yeah. The old AI was tunnel-visioned on their cards, this new one is tunnel-visioned to just claim all the backbone connections and throw down carriages like no tomorrow. I am seriously contemplating to switching back to v1.6 (the betas tab offers it still).

Get together weekly with friends to play board games. Those or tabletop games, like D&D.

Thanks for the train and bump... :)

As for the Boardgames; I've been a board and pen and paper RPG gamer for 15 years :) Favourite board games; Space Alert and Arkham Horror... I like co-op ones xD
As for non co-op; Agricola is fantastic... I also like Warhammer Invasion LCG...

Have fun! :)

Dead of winter, samurai spirit, hanabi.
Yeah I like coop board games :)

I highly recommend the 3 of them, Hanabi being the cheapest one and the best to introduce to coop board games (and family friendly, which dead of winter is not :p)

Thanks for the train ! o/*

Talisman and Cosmic Encounter are probably two of my favorite... I bought my daughter the "Wizard of Oz" fluxx and we have had some fun with that too

digitally Talisman is great and I really like Ticket to Ride as well
