I bought it from IndieGala as well but mine is still there so far.

No, the game was removed from my Steam account. I activated it about 4 months ago.

I bought mine from Humble, but I still have it as a gift link. Not sure what to do with it, tbh.

Keep it for profitz. Just 20 more years and it will be worth something.
I have a gift copy. Not sure what to do with it either.

if you have a Gift Copy I'd hold onto it for a year or so.. If the game isn't brought back to steam it'll be worth 25 times what you paid for it.. I assume you paid 3 - 5 dollars for it on sale.. It'll be worth atleast a hundo,, if not more..
The longer you have it and the longer the game has been removed means the more it's worth.. Since Castle of Illusion is actually a fairly good game that means it'll be worth even more..

It'll take longer for this to increase in value for a couple of reasons.
1) As a licensed title it was always considered "at risk" by collectors
2) It's removal was announced.
As such the collectors willing to pay such high prices will have already got it and everyone trying to profit had chance to stockpile gifts. The fact that there are keys will also keep the prices down. One of the reasons Mafia prices got as high as they did was due to it being limited to gifts.

Until I know that they key will activate and not be revoked, I can't trade it. I don't want any unhappy customers. :)

Well this is interesting O.o. Sega would have been the one to request this, so it is a bit of a dick move.

It's been removed from steam store, but I have no idea why they'd remove it from someone's account.
I lost Gone Home this way, and the developer gave a pretty pathetic explanation (keys leaked out without the knowledge of of the site).
Oh and steam support's been unavailable lately.
You should try complaining at indiegala and bundlestars, both of them have pretty good support teams.

I dont think you know how the whole Remove keys thing work >.>
The dev/publisher can request revoking of keys and steam is legally forced to do that ... they dont own you any explanation why they did it , the ppl who requested it do .
Also since ppl bough stuff from Indiegala ,its there where they need to search for answers .

It's normally the Publishers that request keys to be revoked. Steam is just a tool (in more that one way).

Steam goes by what the publisher/developer tells them..
IE if the publisher/developer says, this batch of keys was stolen or never paid for, or need to be invalidated Steam will do so.. The publisher/developer doesn't even need to give them a reason or explanation, just tell them to do it..

Indiegala's support is infamously bad, and has been known to perma-lock accounts without reason if you contact them.
By all means, feel free to complain at them, but make sure all your keys are backed up off-site first- or you may end up like me, with over $30 of keys lost.

I got mine from gamesplanet and it's just got Revoked too!!!!! What THE!!!!
Comment has been collapsed.
it might have been just a misunderstanding, I am sure it will get fixed via support ticket or something like that sooner or later, especially since you probably have some sort of receipt or screenshot of something to strengthen your case.
EDIT: well, it seems like it is at a higher scale than just one retailer and some mixed stuff from what I read in the comments, it might be a bit more complicated

Guess some low level Sega employee bought a gazillion Steam Gifts and is now trying to drive up the prices by revoking all keys from other sources. No that is not seriously my theory :D

Mine got also removed. Can't remember when and where I bought it!
Edit: I bought it on GMG in November 2015!

Sounds like SEGA will be fixing the problem-- at least for some cases (secondary source)

Just had a notification from Steam telling me the game was removed from my account. Anyone else purchase it from IndieGala or BundleStars just before it was removed from Steam have the same issue?
