I'm trying to decide whether to buy Civilization V Gold for $12 on Amazon (28-31st) or wait out for it to go on sale on Steam so I can get Payday: The Heist and a $5 bundle. Do you think Civilization V will be 66-75% off during the Steam Summer Sale and that I should wait until then? I have no gaming PC until summer, so the length of time for now and the summer sale is of no influence to this decision. Thanks for taking out your time!

EDIT: Here's a list of awesome Steam key sales on Amazon, which is where I found out of the upcoming Civ V Gold sale - http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showpost.php?p=10743077&postcount=10690

Get the 20$ pack with XCOM and Civ IV in it (plus Civ V of course) ;)

Sadly, I lack the funds for it. I am to receive a nice sum of money soon, but that will be after the 31st (end of that bundle's $20 price). Already have XCom, but I could gift it. Plus, I want Civ IV Complete. But, alas, not enough money XD

Very true... Very true indeed :) Might be able to pull some strings to get everything before they expire and repay after I get my payment.

I'm pretty sure it will go down -75%, I think it has in the past (and if not, it's been close to that).

I decided I'll probably buy it during the Amazon sale. However, I should keep that in mind for the 30 dollar dlc :)

6-1 (buy Civ V, not buy), so I think I'll go with you and the majority on this one :)

Now 7-1 (Buy vs no buy), so I think I'll agree with you on this one ;)

Of course Civ V will be 75% off, it's 75% off all the time. But so will PAYDAY.

That is true. Could use the money for $5 bundles instead (hence saving waaaaay more than 75%).

8-1 (buy vs no buy), though it will probably be 75% off again.

Well if that is a major concern for you then just wait until it is 75% off. Its when I got it ages back as a very lucky daily deal.

Nah just wait for better games at the Summer sales

True... And I am hoping the Valve bundle will go on sale by at least 50% during it.

Civ V was 75% off along with the Gold edition a month ago - no doubts it'll be the same this summer sale, hell, might even be cheaper.

I think it's a great game, I got hooked and played non-stop the first few days, worth the price but there's no harm in saving a few more bucks if you need em :D

I do need the extra bucks for now, plus I don't have a good PC til summer.

If you're a big fan of previous CIV games, don't buy. It tends to be that anyone who really likes other CIV games doesn't like the turn CIV 5 has taken. Otherwise if you like the genre it's a great game and you should already have bought it.

I actually played them all (excluding Civ I). I must admit Civ V has degraded in some parts compared to Civ IV, but it has also made some vast improvements.

I'm splitting the amazons bundle here http://bundlethebundle.com/group-e86237849782879
If you find someone who wants civ IV, the Civ V will be yours.

I'd love to get both of them :3 However, my PayPal account has been acting up, messing up on verification constantly (twice recently) since I got a new bank account. However, I will see if I can add money onto the PayPal account, since you do not need to have a linked bank account to use PayPal (if I am correct).
