What's the best Tomato Game on Steam?
I never noticed the extra second giveaway, but knowing that the level is high, I didn't bother looking for it... Looks like I'm still rather potato at information hiding puzzles... The Pi puzzle has all the information packed so tightly that it becomes hint for the next steps.

tbh I feel dumb after reading what the solution was xD

I would not say dumb and it is your right to make any puzzle you want.
But i know i don't want spend so many time with maybe solve it after a lot of hours that brought then only bad mood.
I prefer to spend my time with things that make me happy, so i prefer puzzles that can be solved only from thinking and not google and Co needed. Or a relaxing jigsaw.
It's ok for me if anyone make other puzzles (the most do such one's that need Google and Co.) but i avoid them then to have a good mood :o) grinning
You are whitelisted, as a little thanks for all the GA's and stuff that you did.

Ahh, most of my puzzles aren't quite this bad, but lately it's something hiding in a bunch of numbers... So, not very relaxing... Unless you really enjoy staring at a bunch of numbers, I guess... :) Sometimes there's a giveaway hiding inside a youtube url, like "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIXep0tUPlI&PUZZLE=e7TVU" would tell people to try https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/e7TVU/ :)
This is a recent example, for people who like a lot of hours and a bad mood... :) Here is an easier one where all you need to do is copy and paste the answer provided... :)

The yt one is easy, the easy one is really easy, right ;). For both google, scripts, different homepages or programs, are not needed and the brain is enough.
And yes the difficult one is my personal horror. Unsolveable without using google/scripts/Programs/homepages.
So i was to fast with my words and will look closer if it is a easier one or a really hard one that needs more then the brain :o)
Thanks for your words and explanations :)

Yeah, that digits of pi thing was probably torture for people who tried to solve it by hand, in notepad or whatever. :( I think people with some programming knowledge had a huge advantage, since they could just write something and let the computer do all the work... That wasn't the plan, but that's how it turned out. Hopefully I'll remember to make it more human-friendly next time... :)
Thank you too! :)

thanks!!
i could activate E𝔾HK5-EHIEN-DP0KO and OXVY𝕍-MXFGJ-DT87E
i suppose there are still more unused keys left

i admit your bot masking technique is pretty elegant!

So you created a giveaway, looked at the URL and realized you could make a puzzle if you happened to have keys starting with T64, O6F, M6B, A59 and T37 and you did.
I'm curious how many keys one would need to have over 50% odds of this happening (or maybe you're just lucky).

Hmm, it's hard to say since if I can't find all the keys needed to match the pattern, I give up and make a different pattern. :) But I do have a lot of leftover bundle keys, which helps...
Generally I can get three characters per key without any trouble, but if all three need to be in specific positions I may need to rewrite things until I can make it work somehow. :) I don't have enough leftover keys to hide four specific characters, would have to get very lucky... :)
It seems like such a waste of time creating giveaways for that sort of "game" so now I just use them for puzzles. :) Nobody's ever going to play that stuff anyway... :)

Maybe this puzzle wasn't a very good example of it, but you can hide a lot of stuff in leftover bundle keys, assuming you have enough leftovers that is... :)
Don't know if anyone else uses the same method, but it seems to work fairly well... Plus, people are usually in such a hurry to redeem them that they never bother looking at them... :)

Maybe next time... :)
My main difficulty with Level 0 / 1 giveaways - more reroll requests... :( Checking http://www.sgtools.info/activation and http://www.sgtools.info/multiple-wins usually turns up a few people who did something wrong, maybe years ago... Maybe they were already suspended for it years ago too, but maybe nobody has noticed yet. It's a lot of time wasted for everyone...
Oh well... :)

One last edit:
Ok, so there was one new Near a Tomato giveaway hiding in this most recent batch of leftover bundle keys.
Also, just for fun there were Pink Floyd lyrics on the first and last characters, it didn't mean anything:
thereisnodarksideofthemoonreallymatteroffactitsalldark
andthetimeisgonethesongisoverthoVghtidsomethingmoretosay
- there's no U in Steam keys, sorry about that.But the double-struck i.e. funny-looking characters spelled out
maybethesekeysarehidingonemoretomatogiveaway6541343134
--> "Maybe these keys are hiding one more tomato giveaway 6541343134" --> 65 41 34 41 34 -> eA414 --> One More Tomato Giveaway. The was no secret encoded in the position of those funny-looking characters, that's just where they ended up. If you have enough Steam keys you could certainly use that method for something in one of your own puzzles! :)Thanks for playing, and good luck next time! :)
Yeah, I forgot to explain where the tomato giveaways were hiding. Sorry about that.
But first, for the people who don't care about explanations, here's some junk I was too lazy to make a puzzle with:
Bayonetta, Level 3
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, Level 4
Gal*Gun: Double Peace, Level 5
House Party, Level 6
I had more stuff in my cart, but the Humble Store didn't want my money until after their Winter Sale had ended, so that's all you get. And you thought Steam support was a disappointment? Oh well...
Ok, time for the puzzle explanation? Hmm, yeah. But before that, since nobody reads explanations, why not race the bots to redeem this fresh batch of consolation bundle leftovers:

Ok, guess that's enough stalling. If you really want to know, I cleverly deleted my notes for this puzzle, so umm... Let's see if I can remember... Fortunately it's not a complicated one or I'd be screwed...
Hints and stuff were hiding in the keys. The first batch had 2B, then 9S, then A2, then NEARRA, then some ascii thing, then NEARRA, then some ascii thing again, then NEARRA, then NEARAA. Anyway, NEARRA / NEARAA were supposed to give you a hint to the itstoohard thing, i.e. Near A Tomato. Ha ha. If that didn't work, 2B, 9S and A2 are characters in the game, which means if you already owned the game you probably got it right away. And if not, umm, I dunno. So, http://www.itstoohard.com/puzzle/Vc7KnXax -> https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/e7TVU/nierautomata - hooray!
The ascii thing was hiding the second giveaway, i.e. 64 6f 6b 59 37 -> dokY7 -> https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/dokY7/nierautomata - dunno how you were supposed to notice that. Guess it was a dumb puzzle...
Good luck! :)
Original description:
What are you doing? Making another dumb puzzle? Guilty... :)
Turns out reaching "Level 10" on Steamgifts accomplished nothing. I couldn't find the secret clubhouse, the "Click here for a free pony, courtesy of cg" button, the cake, or well, anything. Guess I should have used that money to buy gift copies of removed games for profitz. Sigh...
Sooooo, since making giveaways would be pointless now, how about making a dumb poll instead. Everyone loves those! Screw giveaways! And don't forget all those memes and things. You can't go wrong with that crap.
And, to distract you from the puzzle, here's a pile of leftover bundle keys! Parentheses to slow down all those clowns with their thousands of bots...
Oh, and all of them are sure to be used before you notice this discussion, so don't waste your time looking at them!

And, as a secret bonus for people who can read all the way to the end of the page, here's some bundle giveaways! Woohoo!
Tomato Jones, Level 1
Tomato Jones 2, Level 1
Tomato Way, Level 1
Something else... Hmm... Oh, you know, it's a puzzle... You have to figure it out...
Good luck! :)
p.s. Umm, don't tell anyone, but I've never actually played any of those Tomato Games. If you have, and want to talk about them, that will let me disguise bumps as replies to your comments, so that's cool. :) Just don't expect me to know anything about the games... :( Maybe I'll check them out over the weekend, though... :)
