Favourite book is a hard question. As a bookcrosser I've read quite a lot and there are many memorable ones.
But I love to come back to some "classics" and at the moment it is "Small Gods" from Pratchett. Just amazing :)

I recommend the Discworld series. The first books look like silly RPG adventures, but throughout the series... well... I can't describe how deep the stories and characters are. And all the books are loaded with good humor, cynicism and even a touch of melancholy when they reflect problems of 'our' own world and history.
This comic is based on a passage from one of the books (Death is a frequent character in the series, and it's funny how he really struggles to try to understand humanity).
