I won a game recently, but the guy who made the giveaway didn't give me the game. 1/5

I have entered 735 giveaways and won 2 of 'em. The first was public and the second was private (puzzled).
I confess I've had suspicions about this website too. I've had no friend who had used this website before. Nobody to ask.
But I allocated a few minutes every day to checking SteamGifts, and it turned out to be worth it. I've had nothing to lose after all.
I have a friend who joined this website at the same time I did. He still didn't win anything. He's got patience tho. And it'll turn out to be worth it eventually.

Lemme tell you something, dear haters.
There is no randomness in the universe. Computers can't generate truly random numbers. They generate pseudo-random numbers.
So, as much as you want to cry about it, more users doesn't mean lower chances to win.

...Your chance of winning is 1/x where x is the number of entries. Generally speaking, you can extrapolate from number of users to number of entries. More users --> more entries per giveaway --> less chance to win.
EDIT: About your 'no randomness in the Universe' comment... The Universe tends to disorder, randomness and chaos as defined by the Second Law of Thermodynamics. Entropy, and 2nd law require chaos and the 2nd law essentially states that all systems (the Universe is, thermodynamically, a huge system) will tend to randomness and disorder (chaos) --> there is randomness, just not in the way you mean it.

I don't see a post about 'no randomness in the Universe'. I think you should look up how random-numbers are generated on computers, because that's what the post was about..

Now say there is nothing about randomness in the universe again bitch. And yes I know the post is about computer randomness - but he very clearly says 'There is no randomness in the universe.' I was simply pointing out that the universe does do random, and does it well. Computers don't. He didn't need that 1 sentence in there and I was pointing out that that one sentence is WRONG.

The universe doesn't do randomness because everything happens as it is supposed to happen. There is chaos to a degree that human minds are unable to track or even comprehend it, but nothing happens without being a direct result of something else. The outcome of your next coin flip was determined at the beginning of time.
I suppose a philosopher might say that there WAS randomness for a infinitesimally small moment when existence began...
By the way, I've won a game on here, and I don't just mean Faerie Solitaire. :)

I'm what you would call a "not very lucky" person. I can't imagine ever actually winning something from this site. Are there any users here who have gone for months or years without ever winning anything?
