Sadly steam summer sales are overrated since some years, I compared some prices and other sales during the year have better discounts, I bought a lot of games during halloween and compared it later with Christmas sale, the difference was like 40€ more on 200€ spent.
I hope it will change this year, but I have my doubt, just promotion of this event is much greater than sales, it makes people excited, while it's nothing special anymore, just well boosted.

Paypal often have deals where they give you bonus money on wallet top ups/gift cards during the Summer Sale.Obviously there's nothing making you spend that money during the sale but it does make your money go that little bit further.

haha, sorry not trading cards this year and I always liked them the most too

Oh, you gotta be kidding me. For the past three years, at least, the only worthwhile thing about the sales was getting some extra wallet funds from the cards. Other sites like GMG consistently have better pricing year-round than Steam does in the summer sale.

psst, this is exactly my opinion since last 2 years, since removing steam gifts and making all region restrictions, I wrote that years ago that "steam is the best, but is definitely trying hard to be the worst" ;p but don't tell anyone, last time I told this, people were angry here on me ;p

Yeh ,you're right ,it's been going on for a while.
They've obviously decided to make some radical changes .
The steamgift changes were just ridiculous
Trading card changes didn't stop the wave of shovelware on the store ,actually made it worse and the "games" even more worthless :)
There used to be some healthy steam giveaway groups that drew gamers into the steam universe.
I used to be on Steam every day ,swapping games ,buying games, e.t.c ,now , not so much ,maybe once a week at most.

Cave Story+ is an absolute masterpiece.
One of the few games that defined the "modern platformer". It has many endings, great story, beautiful art & music and honestly just fun (and sometimes challenging :P ) platforming.
I should get back to it sometime soon, now that I think about it. :D

Nothing. I just had to lease a new car so I could get to work since my old one needed close to 2 grand US of work done. Mostly in the engine.

Mashed potatoes?
But only if they have enough gravy to make it worthwhile.
No lumps, thank you.

Mordhau is the only game I'll be getting for now probably. The game seems to be pretty nice.

You should get it, We might meet on the battlefield ;)

Well, it's not uncommon for games to be around 100-300 price range, 300 seems a little excessive for that game. But idk.
And sad. Region pricing made my life so much easier compared to earlier. And now I don't have to pirate games if I want to both play and eat food =D
EDIT: I just checked SteamDB, and you're right, they have no idea what region pricing is. For Turkey, it's around 55 dollars. It's just 5 dollars cheaper. That's not region pricing, that's a discount XD

I think I have everything I need right now. Maybe Ace Combat 7, if it has a good price.

I always just let them show only games on discount, meaning I see max 20 at a time, though during the sale it will be more, I also sort it by discount so the highest discount is shown at the top which makes it way easier to see the best discounts

Portal and Portal 2 for the perpetual gifting initiative.
Beyond that, nothing; my backlog is too big. I skipped the GOG sale for the same reason.

I'll probably get any game I'm interested in enough and has a good discount. I have around 70 games on my wishlist, but I'll maybe get 5 or 6 of them, depending on the price. During the last few years, I think I only got 1-2 games, 3 at most. This year I'm more into playing them, so why not get more to play? =D
But, I do have a high priority list:
I also have a several maybe games that I'm interested in.
They're (for the most part) games I've been entering GAs for but had no luck yet =D

Farm Together's DLC for sure. Probably something else if the price is right.
