Speaking of Reddit, I had a chat with the moderators of r/EpicGamesPC, and they added the spreadsheet to the subreddit sidebar. However, there is another one just above it, here. The amount of information in it is impressive, indeed, but I personally feel it is overly complicated and unnecessary. If I want to know who published a certain game or how many hours it takes to beat, I wouldn’t rely on that spreadsheet. I can simply google that information. However, as lists are personalized (as is mine), I am assuming that is the type of data the creator of that spreadsheet likes to see.

I see your point but disagree with the scale of the effect of this giveaway at EGS on Humble Choice:
- Steam is not Epic Games store,
- a key is not equivalent to a week-long giveaway,
- First Class Trouble was in the low tier of the Choice (less than 0.50 € in bundle splits),
- in contrast to Yogscast Jingle Jam, Humbe Choice won't revoke the key, so it has some value in the long term.
If Tim Sweeney were to give away one of the mainliners, e.g. DOOM Eternal or Wasteland 3, then this would be a different story.
However, the first two points would still stand: some people prefer Steam over EGS, and it is easy to miss a week-long giveaway.

Absolutely. It's a online only pvp game so it needs players. Putting it in the Choice did increase the player count, but not by much so it's a smart decision to give it away on the EGS. This should bring in a bunch of new players and the money the devs will get from Epic for every copy will help the studio continue to develop the game and run the servers.
Of course you will have some people get upset, mainly ones who purchased the game feeling it's unfair, but the reality is without players this type of game is going to close down.

so....competition...is a good thing. i doubt that HB knew that the Devs/Publishers got a deal with Epic in any way.
instead of shaming the platforms, you should check the devs, publishers...they decide on which grounds a game is for free or discounted or whatever they want to achieve.
also, you/we didnt know that it will be free, so talking about that "if i would have known that" is total nonsense.
