I don't have a favorite. But I can mention that I'm listening to Metal since I was a kid. Heavy Metal, Death, Gothic, Black, Doom, and Thrash are among the many genres. And if I have to pick a genre, definitely I would pick Doom Metal and variations. Amorphis, October Tide, My Dying Bride, Officium Triste, and Paradise Lost just to mention some of most know bands.
