Do prices for regular cards (not these sale ones) usually rise or drop during the big sales? Not sure when it's the right time to sell/buy.

regular cards may increase slightly, but with all the crap valve has put in place regarding buying cards, it's doubtful it'll have as much effect as it had in the past..

Oh good, I was a bit worried I chose the wrong time, as I just got rid of over 2'000 cards a few days ago, only a few left now in the sell queue :)

I would have still waited a few, the prices will increase, but you'd only really increase the price by one or two pennies, although 2000 cards one or two pennies could have been quite a significant haul.
