Small reminder for idling people: Add 480730 to blacklist; It is not active yet, but probably will fuck up your idling like other sales did.

It's for card farming softwares like Archi's Steam Farm and Idlemaster.
To activate the card drops, the holiday sales have to be configured as games, so those software would try to "play" them, obviously to no avail.
That's why the corresponding App IDs must be blacklisted; ASF will surely be updated soon, but Idlemaster was discontinued, so you'd need to do it by yourself if you still use it.

In Idle Master, I just need to put "480730" in the blacklist section, right?

I can't really help you with Idle Master, as I don't use it anymore.
Setting up ASF isn't really too difficult, the wiki has detailed explanations about every function you might need.

i havent crafted a single badge in months yet i got 6 of these cards, any1 can tell me the method of obtaining them?

There are desktop alternatives like Steam Desktop Authenticator or WinAuth. I'm using SDA, even though I recently bought myself an Android tablet. I haven't made the switch for a couple of reasons. First, switching devices will lock you out of trading for 7 days, and second, I actually find the desktop authentication more convenient than hunting down the tablet to confirm a trade or if I need to enter an auth code.

You can set it up on your Android then use SDA's import from Android feature. This way you can have the best of both worlds. I've currently done that and it's really convenient.

Cool, I didn't know that. I will still have to switch devices first and be stuck with a 7-day trade hold. It will be just my luck that cards I want will show up on the trading sites while I'm on hold.
I wonder if WinAuth supports that too. I was thinking of switching to WinAuth now that it supports trades because I thought I remember a message from the guy that created SDA saying it was only a temporary project.

WinAuth does have import from Android as well as from SDA
Edit: Although SDA's import from Android involves ADB so your device doesn't need to be rooted but WinAuth asks you for files you can only access with root permissions.

I have a cell phone, but I guess you could call it a "dumb" phone. It's just a basic flip phone. You only need it to receive the initial text when setting up the authenticator and as another means to recover your account.

Haven't personally seen it, but if you say so then it shouldn't have been intended to be craftable yet, but something must have messed up, at least i think it must as it normally wouldn't be able to craft for now. Don't know if you could start it from the console by sending the command, but could be an explanation if possible.

If you bought a card in the market to complete a badge, then the objects you receive for crafting it will have that same restriction (background, emoticon, and now the summer card)

If you search for Summer sale card it only shows you one normal and one foil card. If you refresh the numbers will change. All of them seems blended into one item.

yeah, around two weeks early. this is because cards replace coupons, so coupons don't last into sale, so valve doesn't have to fix using coupons during sale (eg. if coupon has better discount, you have to wait until sale is over to use it).

Each card now has a separate market listing. If you had buy or sell orders I think you will need to redo them.
